The Phillies still have stuff to play for, for Christopher sanchez. It’s the second to last start for him before he starts game one of the national league division series. Christopher sanchez is as good as anyone in baseball and to move him up to the ace of the staff. Now start game one of the postseason. Nothing more. You can ask from that young man , what he’s done this year. It’s been a solid season 13 and five with a 2.66. Er A, he actually left his last game on the winning side despite allowing four earned runs. Phillies couldn’t hold it but Then wound up winning it. He pulled Jesus Lazard. He did runs early and Then he has been absolutely fantastic to Sanchez is set to see Otto Lopez swing and a miss back to back changeups. One away one is strikeout number 199 for Christopher two away now for Connor Norby over to third. Nice play by ball little in time to first and the side is retired 15 pitches for Christopher Sanchez. No runs, no hits a man left on the mound for the Marlins making his return he’s got a cranky elbow trying to pitch through it. Eddie cabrera 25th start of the season. His eighth career start against the Phillies. One that will bring up kyle Schwarber and two strikes to Schwarber and a high fly ball to deep right field. It is a towering shot and it is off the front of the second deck guy Schwarber’s 54th home run of the year. Ruston first to have 130 runs batted in in a season since ryan howard in nine. That will be down for a base hit all the way to the wall Marsh on his way to second base. He’ll be there with a two out double. Here’s JT Realmuto and he bounces one up the middle. Otto’s got it sets his feet fires in over a run, two hits, one man left on base one after one in opposite field single for eric Wagman. And he is a two out base runner for the Fish here in the road second for the first time in five Griffin Kine. He’s in the Marlins lineup swing and a Miss. He does strikeout number 200 in the season for Christopher Sanchez. He reaches 200 for the first time in his career and that wraps up the second inning. Bottom two. Here’s Max Kepler driven to right pretty deep. Dane Myers going back. Can’t make the catch. Uh, oh, Dane is hurt on the warning track and he is in a lot of pain and immediately Jacob Marcy calls for a trainer and it just got very quiet here at Citizens Bank Park. It’s a chain link fence out there protecting that scoreboard. And he might have got a spike caught in that chain link, whatever it was even to the naked eye, it didn’t look good immediately and he knew something was wrong right away in agony out there on the warning track and they’re going to call for a cart and it’s going to get him out of here in a hurry. Good for the Phillies here to get this car out here in a hurry to get out of here by the look on his face. That’s tough. It’s tough to see anyone get injured, especially when six ball games and as hard as dan Myers has played this year, I’ll tell you what they’re doing. They’re going so slowly they’ve actually got a towel wrapped around his right leg as well. So that’s, uh, that’s very hard to see and we send our very best to ground ball to third. They might go to third the play by Otto Lopez and not a very good base running situation there for Max. And here is the 2025 Paul Owens award winner for offensive player of the year in the Phillies farm systems. That one the opposite way, going back, opposite field, two run home run. Otto Kemp his seventh of the year in the big leagues three, no big bills ball is jumping. That’s huge too. Two outs. He got some power that way and there are two men don’t swing and a miss he struck him out. Third strikeout for Christopher. 12 pitches, 123 go the Marlins. We head to the bottom of the third. Kyle Schwarber will lead things off for the Phillies here in the bottom of the third inning. A called third strike curveball on the upper outside edge. Schwarber doesn’t love it. The K zone love it. And our new A BS challenge system next year would confirm that strikeout. Here’s one man J T struggling of late. He did have a hit in three straight over the weekend and the inning is over two strikeouts. A walk and a stolen base still 30. Philly after three with one away , it will be Connor Norby who bounced out to third swing and a miss he got him. Norby is down on strikes, two outs, four strikeouts and it’s a two out double for Ibero hernandez. And all of a sudden the Marlins have a guy in scoring position actually something that they’ve been really good, especially in the last 11 games. Marlins with runners in scoring position and two outs have a 320 batting average as a team back toward the middle waiting for it is Weston Wilson and the inning is over 13 pitches. No runs, one hit a man left three to Bills. There’s Weston Wilson, that’s a high chopper that gets over the head of Norby and headed towards second is Wilson Pro coming in. He is out by a mile. Well, this is a single all the way again. I don’t understand what they’re doing here. The base running mistake at third. And that was not even close to being a double, but you’re going to try it anyway. And you were thrown out by a, he almost got it a little swim move. That was close. There’s ST might have gone. Yes he did. That’s a strikeout for cabrera and he had Bryson ST tied up and not on the floor. Now, it’s Javier Soo and took the place of dan myers. 02 pitch swing and a miss struck him out. So Noah gone on three pitches there. A strikeout number five on the night for Christopher Sanchez who’s got five scoreless under his belt thus far, we’re going to the bottom of the fifth three. Nothing. Here’s Alec ball who’s zero for two on the night? Oh, he caught it. Whoa, baby 105 off the bat. Look what I found Tyler Phillips in the inning is over and he just chucked the ball towards the Phillies dugout. He flips it back and it goes over toward the Phillies dugout and goes right toward Alec Alex and he throw the ball at me quickly and I don’t think Tyler Phillips meant any harm because he knows a lot of those guys. There’s no beef there. He just, he’s such a firecracker. I don’t think he really knows what he’s doing half the time. Yeah, I don’t think so either. And I was gonna say, maybe it looked like he was just throwing it to the mound. Otto Lopez who had struggled against Christopher sanchez loops a leadoff single in the left center to open the sixth austin ramirez bouncer back toward the middle. diving stop by clips to second for one and that’s all they get excellent play by Bryson. Yeah, it’s a great play by Bryson. You know, we talked about Bryce could play anywhere up the middle and, and be as good as anyone on the at it. You wonder if Weston would have thrown that ball regardless with Lopez rounding the base if they had called interference on center field. Not there. Somebody forgot the outs. Ramirez is going to get doubled up. He just kept on going caught between 2nd and 3rd. This is a disaster. Augustine ramirez had no idea how many outs there. There’s one man gone for hernandez swing and a miss six strikeouts. Oklahoma 96 mile an hour sinker two on here. Xavier Edwards batter softly to second base charging wilson and the inning is over. Boy, another solid inning in a solid game in a solid year for Christopher sanchez. David Robertson will begin the top of the eighth inning. Griffin Kine maybe a more fair shake at this for Griff with the righty on the mound. Kine high in the air deep to right field in his return to Philadelphia. Griffin Kine goes deep for the second time this season. This is a day he thought he’d never see again and he’s made it a 3 to 1 game. How about that? How good does that feel? Number two on the year and his last game was April 19th right here in Philadelphia. That look at the smile. How did that feel? 12, that one line in the left field that is in for a base hit O Lopez aboard with a two out single and all of a sudden the Marlins will have the time man come to the plate in the form of Augustine Ramirez, but they’re going to pull him back for liam Hicks is lined out towards the gap, left center field down for a base hit Lopez is on his way to third. He’ll stop there. Oh, here he comes, coming towards the plate and the throw is not in time. An error has led to the second run of the ball game for the Marlins who are now within one here in the eighth inning. The throw from Bader in center field got away out near the second base bag, really good, aggressive heads up baserunning by Lopez ball gets away. This team does not give up. No, they do not. Well, we’re going to the ninth inning. The Phillies with a one run lead here to start the night as Joan Duran will take over on the mound for the Phils. It has come down to the ninth inning and a one run affair. Here’s Abierto hernandez. I got a piece of JT. Watch that hand, foul ball, got his throwing hand. He’s got it by the shin. Oh no. Like he got him right in the knuckle. I mean, he had it, he had it almost behind him. They’re asking, does this hurt? Does this hurt? He shaking his hand, shaking his head. No, but never trust a player. Tom. That was 93 off the bat. We will lie in a heartbeat. Looked like he said, I’m all right. All right back at it to runs. 02 is launched high in the air. Out to left. Marsh is back at the track at the wall. It is, we are tied at three. Eriberto Hernandez takes the defibrillator to the Miami Marlins a 101 mile an hour fastball that comes in. It was center cut. Hernandez hits it 100 and eight miles an hour. It goes 380 ft to tie this ball game and this crowd is done. Xavier Edwards slow bouncer left side, tough play for the first, not in time. And now the go ahead run is at first and now Edwards is at second with two away for Griffin Konai out to center Bader. He’s there was toward the end of the bat so Bader waits for it makes the catch, the inning is over. The Marlins have tied it up on the home run by Hernandez will go to the bottom of the ninth inning. JT set to lead things off for the Phils Marchand hitting for JT. Not a great sign that rafael is going to pitch in line drive toward the middle it for March and the winning run is aboard for the Phils. They’re going to put the tarp on the field. Gosh, if you’re the Marlins, you just used a pitcher here. I mean, I know you, you can’t always predict the weather but didn’t see this coming, the ground screw getting the tarp on the field as quickly as possible. Hopefully, this isn’t a long one. It’s a big sell a lot of it is to the north of us depending on which way it’s going. Well, the tarp is off the field here at Citizens Bank Park. We’re in the bottom of the ninth with a man at first in a tie game with nobody out. So they’ve taken the tarp off the field. Everything has drained out in right and right center. They got him with a cutter and there’s two away here in the bottom of the ninth and here comes Bryson jammed shallow center. Marcy’s Kevin on, he makes the catch, they can’t win it, but they sure can take the lead when we return. And the Marlins have 1st and 3rd with one out and the bat will be liam Hicks. There’s a broken bat base hit in the right field. Conine will score. Troy Johnson goes first to third in the Marlins have a 43 lead as big as they come right there. Outstanding at bat. And here’s where you want to tack on. Here’s Marcy shoots one towards the left side, a little flip the second. They got the out there but a run will score and the Marlins lead 5 to 3. That is a beautiful play by Alec Bohm. That was more like a shot you’d see on a pool table and it was good enough to drive in the second round of the inning. That was his big two runs for the Marlins here in the top of the 10th and the snap of your fingers. There’s two out here in the bottom of the 10th is going to be walked intentionally. So have to hustle up. Now the winning run is at the plate. I mean, what a risk we’ve got here, line drive out to center field, Marcy coming in. He’s not going to get it drop in for a hit will score. It’s a one run game. The 288 hitter with runners in scoring position comes through there. Castanos is going to be on the pinch hit with runners at 1st and 2nd and 2 outs here in the bottom of the 10th inning. Josh Simpson is the new pitcher. It’s his 29th game 3 to 2. The runners go pitches lined to left base, hit to left center field. One run is in, goes to third RB I game tying single for nick Castellano. It’s a five in the move to ultimately intentionally walk Kyle Schwarber put the tying run at first has backfired on the Marlins. Here’s Marchand, he could win it , swing and a miss and the inning is over, but the Phillies tie it here in the bottom of the 10th. Here is a hernandez. He hit Trevino and it rolls over to third barehanded by b no play at first. Fortunately for Trevino, that ball was not off of his bat at 100 miles an hour. In fact, it was off the end at 81. All right, here’s Xavier Edwards with 1st and 3rd and nobody out line drive to right field. Castellano going over that. He makes the catch. Here comes Norby from third throw coming in towards second is cut off and that’s a sacrifice fly for Xavier Edwards. Marlins back on top in the 11th , 6 to 5. And again, the Marlins are one out away from winning. Bryson stops coming up. Little dribbler Simpson’s got it. Fires ball game over seven in a row and the Marlins are now 77 and 80. Their playoff hopes remain alive here in South Philadelphia with an 11 innings 6 to 5 victory over the Phillies.

A chain link fence in the outfield?
Marlins go 5-0. Mets lose once before playing Marlins. Reds and DBacks go 2-3 0r worse. MIRACLE MARLINS
Why do they need a fence?
Add Stowers to this bunch. Solid Starter decent bullpen. Keep this team together and Marlins could be a force next season. They already aren't to be messed with 7 on a row in late September
The Phillies really are going to have to play better than this to do anything in the playoffs.
I’m not gonna hold my breath for October, but I sure am gonna enjoy whatever ride the Fish are taking me on for what little’s left of the schedule. Whatever happens, I’m fond of the season they’ve had. This is just the start.
Incompetent bullpen management by the Phillies wastes a gem from Sanchez. And Wilson played like a bum. Terrible base running and terrible defense. No way this clown show goes anywhere in the playoffs despite all the talent on the payroll.
Little League mistakes are what cost us that game
This Marlins team keeps dishing one surprise after another. 80% of the Team are rookies. I can't wait to see what they bring next year. For now, the goal is to end up over .500. And they are not even mathematically eliminated.
Well, that sucked. Get 'em tomorrow. Go, Phils!!
SCHWARBER MVP NUFF SAID also Castellanos MVP
This is literally a Miami Marlins fans' playoff run right now in the past 7 games in a row we won
The fish batter who hit the Phillies reliever when the ball was hit it should be a automatic out for hitting the pitcher bullshit way of course the Phillies lose after that bullshit
Thanks for basically guaranteeing us the number 1 seed for the NLDS phillies
Overcame boneheaded managerial decision to intentionally walk tying run.
2:19 🤣🤣 crusty sounding Kruk: “Noooo, don’t throw it out there, Ottooooo!” in regards to Kemp throwing Sanchez 200th strikeout onto the mound.
I love how our team is looking, but we NEED to fix the bullpen this offseason in Philly or we can’t do nothing…
Weston Wilson….I love ya…but your a lifetime Iron Pig.
Let’s go Marlins
tyler phillips is so butthurt he’s not a phil anymore lmao
bader doesn’t know how to throw it to the cut off of my gosh that was embarrassing
If the Phillies want deep postseason. They can not have Romano or Robertson pitch at all with a small lead
Besbol🇺🇸⚾️
Marlins are 9-1 in the last 10 games. The Phillies are 5-5. That's how baseball goes.
Imagine that Stott weak contact. He doesn’t belong in the majors
Crowd booing the tarp, SAVAGE!!!
Plankton: Well this stinks!
Keep Robertson away from the mound….period.
FIRE DUMBO AND STOPPER NOW
Fightin fish
Hope Dane and JT are ok!!!
This is the Phillies first game in which Bryce Harper did NOT fail to hustle! (Only because he wasn't in the lineup.)
Philly fans are quick to turn on their team, just ruthless and sour, almost as bad as Yankee fans.
3:17 he hit his knee on that bottom concrete. I know someone who broke his kneecap that way.
The Miami Marlins are 77-80⚫️🔵🟢⚪️🐠☀️🏖️🌇
Good start by Sanchez. Kerkering has to get the ball down, and renew his control. THe line-up is never the same without Harper in it. Win the next two and then work the plan to get the starters in line, the relievers some rest, and get Turner back for the play-offs.
WE need Soto back, too. Wilson is not a good fielder and cost us a run with his misplay of the Bader Throw.
