Im thai and from what I hear is the the golfers who golf in the rain just left the caddie there as they got spook and just drive the cart away. Its also their choice to golf in the rain, caddie just have to follow their lead, cant complain. It’s a low paying job in Thailand $10 from the course, and the rest is up to the golfer they are pair with relying on tip (average around $20tip) Devastating news for the caddie RIP. For those who golf during heavy rain, careful.

Would love it if the victim’s family sue the shit out of these golfers, if there are legal grounds for the case.
The moment lightning is visible nearby, I’m out, but wow that’s horrid to ditch the caddie. Never worth it. Rain is one thing, but always know if it’s a lightning storm. I have been at clubs where they didn’t blow the horn yet while lightning was hitting directly overhead and felt it was a great disservice to the wellbeing of ppl on course to “let it ride”, as most eager players will drag their heels until removed by notice.
I just hope caddies there can be compensated fairly such that they can say no to playing in unsafe conditioned if pressured by customers.
The first video I saw showed the caddy motionless and nobody helping for several seconds.
Real assholes leaving the guy behind that was working for them making their day better. I hate it when people treat service job workers like shit. This one takes the cake.
This is of course terrible, but does the course not blow a siren or something if there’s lighting in the area?
Ya know this is the first time I’ve noticed how dumb the AC/DC song thunder struck is. You can’t get hit by thunder.. over 30 years of livin and never noticed.
Ah rat farts!
In our golf course the moment lightning storm starts or is expected, a siren will go off. This means course is closed.
