CANTON, Mass. – The Boston University women’s golf team wrapped up its season opener on Tuesday, finishing in eighth among 15 teams at the Red Bandanna Invitational hosted by Boston College at Blue Hill Country Club.

The Terriers posted a 314 team score in the final round, matching their second-round score, and finished at plus-83 for the tournament. The host Eagles won the title by one stroke over Dartmouth.

BU’s top finisher was junior Amy Han, who tied for 22nd at plus-14 (76-75-79–230). Classmate Hibiki Adachi (78-73-80–231) was one stroke behind in a tie for 25th after posting a team-best three birdies in round three.

Freshman Wendy Li led the team on Tuesday with a 3-over 75, moving her up 12 spots on the leaderboard to 49th at plus-25 (81-85-75–241). 

Senior Annika Manjunath ended up tied for 53rd at plus-29 (84-81-80–245).

The Terriers will return to action on Sept. 29-30 when they compete in the SHU Fall Classic at Great River Golf Club in Milford, Connecticut.
