But the current legends tour order of merit leader Scott Hen has been unbelievable this season. He’s one of the longest on tour and we’ve got his swing here. We’re going to analyze it and look at a couple of things of why he is so long. Now the first thing I’m going to draw your attention to is his chest turn or shoulder turn. If we take him right up to the back top of the back swing, you can see he turns at around 90°. That’s actually slightly below the men’s average. Most men are going to be around 95, even up to 110° of turn. So, he’s got a little or lesser shoulder turn, but he’s still getting that club way up at the top of the back swing, and that helps him generate power. So, he’s actually got a really long arm swing. So, he’s got minimal or below average chest turn, but his arms are taking that club way back here. So, he’s quite flexible. That’s a really good point. If we want to generate power, get our arms all the way back to the top of the swing. It’s going to help you impart a little bit more speed at the bottom. Another reason what makes him so good with a driver. Just going to draw your attention to the two vertical lines on the screen. The yellow one is the center of the pelvis and the blue one is the center of the chest. What a lot of great drivers of the ball do is they separate them lines on the way down. So take him to impact. You can see how the middle of the pelvis is past the middle of the chest by around 4 in. And most drivers are going to be this way because as they start to deliver this club, they start tilting slightly down with the right side. The pelvis thrusts forwards and that helps them hit up on the ball, launching that driver. So so long.
