I know the question is about the signs, but Bethpage Black has Heart Attack Hill on Hole #15, which is known to have caused a few heart attacks every year. I believe the starter said 4-5 heart attacks every year.

the one that says: “no beverage cart today.”

Ive never played Bethpage but Ive seen the skiing sign in real life at Squaw Valley. Im a 15 handicap and I think the embarrassment of Bethpage would be worse. If I die skiing I wont know.
You probably need more training and specialized equipment to be safe outside of the ski area

The sign at the Black Course should read, “This is an extremely difficult golf course. When you have to tell your friends what you shot today, YOU WILL WISH YOU WERE DEAD.”
VeseleVianoce
Whats the point of that sign? Im perfectly capable to die within the resort too.

I’m going to ignore that the second sign is about the dangers of skiing off-piste and choose to believe that’s just a particularly intense “Thanks for coming to the Ski Resort!” sign on the way out of the parking lot.

The first one. I’m a much better skier than I am a golfer.

I’m not very good, but I’ve lived there my whole life and I’ve played every course at Bethpage except black. I couldn’t play for about 10 years because of a bad back, but it’s healed and I’ve adjusted my swing. hoping to play Black by the end of next summer. Again, don’t plan on breaking 90 on it really don’t plan on breaking 100 but still wanna play

I don’t know if it’s still there but 35 years ago when I hiked up the back side of Half Dome at Yosemite, there is a waterfall with a nice peaceful looking pool on top – and when you’re hot and sweaty from hiking it looks like the PERFECT place to cool off – but there was a sign there with a picture of a stick figure going over the falls and the sign said, “If you swim here – YOU WILL DIE!”

The skiing one, because every course I step foot on is “extremely difficult”….so if I have to lose a box of balls, on my way to a 105…it might as well be at Bethpage
I dunno, I went down a black ski slope by accident because I took the wrong turn on a blue and I basically had to eat it to save my life from falling off a < turn ( I didn’t know how to turn toe side – I still dont)
The skulls does it for me.

I would for sure have a worse day on the golf course than I would on the ski run. On the ski run I may break an ankle but have a great time. I am not having a great time if I shoot 120.
I know this is a golf sub not ski, but I wish they detailed more on why they have the ski signs. Have skied a lot of places that had these types of signs and they are really there because you can’t get off the run if you want to, not because it is super dangerous. Just tell me if I have to do a 5ft jump or over or avalanche issues. If it is just super steep and moguls let me know that.

You can always pick your ball up. You can’t always dig yourself out of an avalanche.

“Please make 90° turn off of cart path to maintain fairway integrity” that’s taped on the windshield.
*seeing tire tracks showing no one even using the cart path to begin with*
