WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Hamilton College Continentals finished in fourth place out of 15 teams at the Williams College Fall Invitational, which was held at Taconic Golf Club on Sept. 20 and 21.
 
Hamilton’s Jake Hendelman ’28 tied for 10th place out of 79 golfers at 220 for the 54-hole tournament. Hendelman led the Continentals with a 73 in Saturday’s first round and fired a one-over par 72 in the final round on Sunday.
 
Jaikrit Bhattacharya ’26 and Ramon Aroca Gonzalez ’26 tied for 16th place at 222. Bhattacharya carded a 73 on Sunday as his score improved by one shot each round. Aroca Gonzalez led Hamilton with even-par rounds of 71 in the second and third rounds. He eagled the 480-yard, par-five first hole and the 545-yard, par-five closing hole during the weekend.
 
Jonathan Moon ’29 tied for 34th place at 230 in a weekend that included a 77 in the first round and a 73 in the final round. Wyatt Lupo ’29 tied for 42nd place at 232 that featured a 75 in the second round and a 77 on Sunday. Lupo also eagled the first hole in Saturday’s second round. Both players were competing in their first collegiate tournament.
 
The Continentals were in eighth place at 305 after the first round, but moved up to fifth place with a four-person team total of 295 Saturday afternoon. Hamilton’s 289 on Sunday was the best team score of the day. Babson College captured the team title at 874, Williams was the runner-up at 885 and Amherst College finished one stroke ahead of the Continentals in third place at 888.
 
Hamilton competes in the Northeast Elite tournament at Williamsport Country Club in Williamsport, Pa., on Sunday, Sept. 28 and Monday, Sept. 29.
