✅ Drill 1: The Wall Drill – Fix your slice, stop coming over the top, and groove proper hip rotation.
✅ Drill 2: The 9-to-3 Swing – Learn to compress the ball, control strike, and stop overswinging.
✅ Drill 3: The Impact Position Drill – Groove the perfect impact position, shift weight correctly, and build consistency.
We’ll also cover:
• The best way to practice putting indoors (carpet, cups, or mats).

You can practice golf anywhere. Today we’re talking about golf practice. And here’s the truth. If you want to play better golf, you’ve got to practice better. But the problem, most of us don’t have the time or space for proper practice. Or so you thought. Because today, I got three powerful practice drills straight from a PGA golf coach. You can do literally anywhere. So, I asked my PGA golf coach, Jack, “What can I do when I don’t have a driving range, a full practice area, or even a net?” And he gave me three gamechanging drills you can practice anytime, anywhere, no matter how little space you’ve got. And stick around, cuz these drills might fix your swing faster than ours on the range. And this space I’m standing in, it’s about the size of a shipping container. So, if you have a small backyard, a terrace or courtyard, or even just your living room, these drills will still help you. Of course, the easiest place to start indoors putting, you can do it on carpet, into a cup, or with a mat. And don’t forget pace control. Grab the longest run of carpet you’ve got and practice hitting markers. And remember, Jack Nicholas once said that every putt is a straight putt. So, if you can train yourself to hit straight putts, that’s a third of the battle won. Jack calls this fix your swing with one drill. Here’s how it works. Grab your golf club by the shaft close to the blade. Standing golf posture with your head touching the wall. Now take a swing without your club hitting the wall. If the blade hits the wall, that’s over the top. That’s slice city. As you go back, if the handle hits the wall, that’s excessively outside. That’s where hooks come from. And while we’re on wall drills, this is another killer drill Jack gave me to stop swaying and feel the proper hip rotation. He then gave me some homework to get the right feel. Get yourself a basketball or soccer ball, or in my case, a fitball. Place it behind your butt up against the wall and with the club take a practice swing. If the ball stays still or moves towards your back swing, that’s a sway. If you can rotate properly and pivot the ball forwards, [Music] that’s the right feel. As you start your down swing, the ball moves back again as you rotate your hips. and your arms drop and the ball continues to move backwards as you rotate your hips and clear hips. Before we get on to drill two, a quick note. Unless you got a bulletproof lounge room, grab yourself some foam or airflow practice books. Your TV will thank you. Chipping into a net indoors is awesome, too. You’ll sharpen up your strike off tight lies. And learn how different back swing lengths affect distance. Over swinging kills posture and strike. This next drill forces you to focus on crisp, clean contact. Imagine your swing on a clock face. Back swing to 3:00. Follow through to 9:00. Shorter swing. Tighter contact. This one zooms in even further. Start by addressing the ball. Then move into impact position first and swing from there. Feels weird at first, but it locks in the perfect strike position and stops you waiting your back foot. Jack pointed out that live golfer Matt Wolf shows a perfect example of this. I started working about really getting open through impact and through like as I’m coming through the ball, making sure to keep this moving through. And so that’s kind of where this trigger move came to be. And so for me, I always went, okay, get open, keep the hands in front of the in front of the ball, you know, and then continue through the ball like that. At the end of the day, this is all about being creative with your practice. The more often you practice, even in tiny bursts at home, the better you’ll play. And better golf equals more fun golf. So, pick one of these drills, give it a try this week, and watch your game improve. Remember, you really can practice golf anywhere.
