  1. Met Teddy in the airport in Ireland when I was only a small boy, Proper Gentleman came straight over chatting with my father asking if we’d like a picture, memory I’ll never forget

  2. If you did this now the players would stop playing for you and you would get sacked. Prime example what’s happened to nearly every Man U manager since Ferguson left.

  3. Ferguson was a dick
    Bitter failed bluenose
Got lucky with a load of one nil’s and Fergie time winners then…
    Left the current shit show

  4. And when asked about it, both said YES gaffer. They did not LIE to the manager. Time have changed, but discipline is still paramount for the team

  5. Fergie was keeping there head in the game and not else where …. Explains why Fergies United where one of the best football teams in the world 🫡♥️

  6. People just assume that it's the player's job to be model employees and train hard, avoid any detrimental external activities and give it all on the pitch etc. It isn't. Players are human beings. they will half ass it and break the rules as much as they are allowed to save for a few outliers. Those outliers usually become captains. It's the manager's job to manage his players and keep them on that straight and narrow path. These days football fans all think a managers job is to just buy players and choose a formation and if the players are awful it's their fault. That's video game management. There's nothing funnier than a football fan saying "Well if the players wont listen to the manager then what's he supposed to do?" "leave" is the answer to that question.

  7. If he would’ve find me a weeks wages for that, I would’ve gone absolutely mental red nose wouldn’t be able to control me put it that way

  8. 3 years ago , i met Mark Hughes and his wife in Manchester airport. He is my hero. I went him to talk to him and the wife, both were so nice, i told him he is my hero but i was not happy when he left Manchester to Chelsea. His wife also said it seems everyone we have met wanted you to stay in Manchester. He said sorry for going to Chelsea. Top man.

  9. we really did not know what we lost when Fergie retired. MAn built a system. I remember one interviews years back, I believe it was Rio saying how even on ENgland duty, the United players always acted with decorum, keeping to themselves because they didn't want to upset Fergie. It's just a bit sad that the system was built with him as the cog, so when he left, everything fell apart.

  10. Met Teddy Sheringham in a garage a little while ago. One of the nicest fellas I've had the pleasure to meet. Have to say footballing legend.

  11. Might be a stupid question but what’s wrong with golf? They’re not exactly risking an injury are they?

  12. Back in the day, Teddy used to dine at my uncles Chinese restaurant in Hale called The Evergreen. Great guy.

  13. If you got fined a weeks wages in any other line of work that would be ridiculous- why is it acceptable in football? 😂

Appreciate it's a drop in the ocean for alot of them but still.

  14. Being fined for playing golf seems unbelievably harsh. Fergie would have definitely stopped Grealish getting so smashed during the season

  15. Met Teddy in the Sahara desert when I was absolutely parched. All he had was a bottle of water and he gave it to me. Really top bloke
