Finish: 12th Place – FULL RESULTS

Location: Nittany Lion Invitational at the Penn State Blue Course in State College, Pa.

Short Story: The University at Albany women’s golf team finished with a 12th place finish overall in the Nittany Lion Invitational; a two day, three round tournament hosted by Penn State. Thantita Aungsuseewong led the Great Danes, posting rounds of +3, +2, and +1 to finish in a tie for 19th place in a field that hosted 90 golfers.

Head Coach Colleen Cashman: “Adding Penn State to the schedule this year was a nice addition. The course does play long, but it can definitely be scoreable. Prime did an amazing job as a senior, leading the way for us all three days! It was very nice to see her be able to begin this season on a high note. I think everyone had at least one score count this weekend, which is important when it comes to selecting your top five players. I was hoping for a better finish today overall, but we have to start somewhere and we can only go up from here! This team has a lot of talent and a lot of depth, and every week is tricky to select the top five. With a little more fine tuning and practice, it excites me to think of our potential this season.”
