An historic final day at Laa Open from the east coast of Spain. That trophy on the line. It never really looked in doubt where it was heading. But plenty of other stories as well. Jana Melova back after a year away after a back injury. finishing on her first start since last year’s Lassaya Open in seventh place at eight under par. Last year’s number one on the Ladies European Tour rankings, Kiara Tambellini finished with a 68, her ninth top 10 of the season, while Lauren Walsh posted her fifth top five of the season, second last week, fifth this week at 10 under par with a closing round of 72. Shannon Tang closed a gap on Mimi Roads at the top of the order of merit thanks to putts like this at the par 317th. She finished in fourth place at 11 under par. A best ever ladies European tour finish for rookie Madison Hinsson Tolshard. the Australian with a closing round of 69 that left her in third place at 12 under par. It was a jewel at the top of the leaderboard and Nastasian Nadau got to within one of the winner early on on day four and then produced one of the shots of the season at the 13th. She had to settle though for a second runner-up finish of the season. Anna Hang had led the way after her first round 64 and led by three going into the final day. That was her first birdie of the day at the third after she had seen her lead reduced to just a single shot. But after Nadau went into the water at eight, Quang produced this with her third at the par five ninth. Good enough to hit the back nine with a fourshot lead. And she would extend that to six shots with this beautiful downhill curling putt at the par 314th. At the age of 16 years, Anna Hang was putting on a show. The first ever Canadian winner on the Ladies European tour finished it in style with a birdie at the 18th to finish at 20 underpar and to win by seven shots. The biggest winning margin of the season for the fifth youngest Ladies European Tour winner. She doesn’t turn 17 until October. Confirmation then of how it finished. Huang a wire-to-wire runaway winner. The dough having to settle for second place. Nura Turio the leading Spaniard. But the first trophy in the hands of Laa Open champion 2025 Anahan.
