I did um an exhibition against Marco Antonio Barrera a couple of years ago and um it was great for me that I got in training, I got in shape, you know, it inspired a lot of people, you know, for me to get in shape again at the age I’m in, you know, bearing in mind all me problems I’ve had um personally mental health and stuff like that. I think uh it was nice for so many people to come up to me and go, “Oh, I’ve always struggled with me weight.” to see you get it off get it off at your age and I’ve always struggled with my mental health and I’ve had me problems and to see from where you were a few years ago to to what you’re doing with yourself now I said and it’s inspirational and people said would you always do another I said I’d always look at it because of how positive the last one was for me and um it’s not like a Manny Pacquiao fight when I’m going in for a world against a world champion or I certainly hope I’m not going to be fighting like Mike Tyson is going into his 60s you know what I mean and Paulie Malani former my opponent. He’s doing a bare knuckle one. So, I know everyone’s a bit worried about me, but you don’t have to worry. It’s not as bad as them three. I think I know what fights uh I’m capable of doing, and I know which fights are beyond me, and this this one is I’m is capable of doing here. How have you been preparing for the fight? What have you been sort of doing the last few years away from the ring? Well, I just I trained professional boxers, don’t I? I train um train me boxers every day. I make sure Monday to Friday, I train me meet myself every day. midweek ago doing a little bit of road work and that, you know, so um looking after myself a lot better than I did um a few years ago. So, uh yeah, and I just um that’s what it is. You know, the party can’t last forever. Sooner or later, you’ve got to slow down and I think I’ve reached that stage, but I’m in such a good place mentally, you know, from where I was a few years back and physically and that, you know what I mean? I mean, I’m not uh I haven’t got a six-pack these days, but you know, Ricky Aten’s belly’s gone, you know what I mean? So, uh, all things are good, you know, and, um, it’s nice from from how bad it was to what it is now, cuz it’s, um, that most people most weeks, you know, say, “Oh, from where you were, Rick, to what you’re doing now, it’s so inspiring and that.” And that’s that’s that’s half the reason why I do it as well. Yeah. Thank you. And lastly, um, what would your message to the fans be watching this video? Watching this video. Yeah. Coming back from Oh, no. Coming back, don’t worry about me. You know, it’s nice. It makes me feel so proud that I was I was so loved and people get worried when they when they hear of me making a comeback, but um I’m not as dafted as I look. Do you know what I mean? I know what fights are beyond me. I know which fights are silly for me and I know which fights u I’m capable of, you know, which ones are sensible for me and this is one of them. So, uh I’ll do you proud again. Thank

It's really sad. You can see it in his eyes. You can keep trying and keeping up with the world but he looked exhausted.
You can only keep battling for so long. Really liked him, it's sad.

It's so sad a lovely humble guy no one knew what he was going through as somebody who has struggled and is still struggling with mental health it's so hard to break the cycle some time seems only one way out…when every day you wish you weren't here as the pains unbearable..God bless you big man 💔
So sad…you really don’t know…he’s speaking so well here 😢
What a true genuine old skool top bloke. You can see things thru people eyes and to me he (not being rude) looks tired from the constant battles he must of had over the years as he always mentions to try his best to spread the awareness 🙏🏻
You will be missed, RIP 'Ricky 'HITMAN' Hatton.
46yrs old😮
There’s not many celebrity deaths that bother me as everyone struggles and we all die one die.
This guy was a geniune man and a good heart which would show every time he spoke.
It’s very sad that someone so talented and had such great experiences can end up this way.
RIP Ricky.

So sad to see. Here, he looks much older than his age. I was born the same year as him, but he looks in his 50's. Drink and drugs combined with mental health will always do it for you.

Tragic loss… very sad.
RIP Ricky, both World Champion and Peoples Champion!!! ❤️🙏🫡
I admit I don't understand mental health but he'd achieved his boxing goals and was sat on 35 million. Most people would be ecstatic or at the very least content. Why was he going back in the ring. If he had personal problems of another nature such as relationships then I can't comment as to how that may affect someone but if it was to do with his career then I don't understand that.
