BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men’s golf team is set to host the Graeme McDowell Intercollegiate this Monday and Tuesday, Sept 22-23, at Limestone Springs Golf Club in Oneonta, Ala.
Along with the Blazers, the 14-team field includes Alabama, Alabama State, Central Arkansas, Florida Atlantic, Jacksonville State, Lipscomb, North Alabama, Queens University, Samford, Southeastern Louisiana, USC Upstate, West Georgia and Winthrop.
All eight UAB players will participate in the tournament with Alvaro Huidobro, Erik Olin, Morgan Slaton, Patrick Delaney and Alejandro Fierro counting towards the team score. Jonathan Ericsson, Clipper Salmon and John Bruce will participate as individuals.
The field will play 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday on the par 72 course. The entire field will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Monday and UAB is paired with Lipscomb and Central Arkansas.
