Chandler trying to match what he did his last start. What a great bounce back start it was for him against the Nationals. He threw the ball terrific coming off a seven strikeout a high for him outing in DC. More than that Greg bouncing back as you mentioned from that tough outing here last home stand against the Brewers. We were curious to see how he would bounce back if he answered with flying colors. Markwood, the fan who nearly lost his life on April 30th after falling onto the field from the ball during a game throughout today’s first pitch for Chandler, just his third big league start, sixth major league appearance and we’ll see what he has in store for them and a swing and a miss at 101 inside up. And in on Lawrence butler, Bubba Chandler registers his 20th major league strikeout 22 swing and a miss and this time he comes with a hard slider at 90 that was out of the zone and Brent Rooker offers back to back cases to start the night for Chandler. Chandler strikes out the side in the first inning for morales. This is his ninth start. He’s 41 with a 38, 38 innings, 28 hits, 14 walks and 34 strikeouts. Nobody on two nothing Pirates. Santana’s pitch strike. Praise the Jolly Roger in one of the quickest games in PNC park history and one of the best pitched games in this ballpark’s history. Chandler Ashcraft and Santana wrap up a spectacular one hit two nothing shutout.
