President Donald Trump previously announced that he’ll attend the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, New York.
Trump, who was born at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, doesn’t mind returning to the Big Apple to watch one of the best golf tournaments in the world. After all, the 47th president of the United States has a great deal of admiration for the sport.

With the Ryder Cup set to begin next Friday, Sept. 26, officials at Bethpage Black Golf Course are doing everything in their power to ensure Trump’s presence doesn’t cause any issues.

Earlier this month, Trump attended the US Open final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. The match was delayed by 48 minutes due to the wild scene outside of Arthur Ashe Stadium.
The Ryder Cup let Trump and every other fan attending next Friday’s opening round know that it cannot and will not delay the scheduled tee times.

“We actually won’t be able to delay the tee times because we don’t have the evening,” Ryder Cup Director Bryan Karns told Front Office Sports. “At Arthur Ashe Stadium, you can flip those lights on, you can go late. Whereas we don’t have that luxury of doing that, and you obviously want to make sure, if possible, you’re finishing both sessions on the day we start them so the fans can see it from start to finish.”
Trump not thrilled with the Ryder Cup team for the U.S.
Even though Keegan Bradley is the captain for the U.S. team, he didn’t choose himself as one of the 12 golfers who’ll compete at Bethpage.

Bradley ultimately went with Sam Burns, Patrick Cantlay, Ben Griffin, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas and Cameron Young as his captain picks. Scottie Scheffler, J.J. Spaun, Xander Schauffele, Russell Henley, Harris English and Bryson DeChambeau automatically qualified via points.
Trump made it clear he wanted to see Bradley compete in the Ryder Cup.
“Keegan Bradley should DEFINITELY be on the American Ryder Cup Team – As Captain!!! He is an AMAZING guy. It will be a great Ryder Cup. At the invite of the PGA Tour, I will be there on Tournament Friday!!! President DJT,” he wrote on Truth Social.

We’ll find out next week if Bradley made the right decision.
