Sorry for all the questions, but I’m loving getting responses from people who have actually built a simulator.
I currently have my smallest bedroom set up as a home cinema with an 83 inch Oled and 5.2.2 setup.
In building the golf simulator in the garage, I would love to dual purpose it has the new cinema room to get the bedroom back.
I have a vision in my head of the surround sound speakers. But without putting the centre speaker behind the screen, has anyone else come up with other options as I can’t imagine an impact screen would be acoustically transparent.
I’ve included a picture of where I am to date. It’s still a working progress. The new roof is on, and I have purchased a cage and tarp.

I feel like you’d really have to compromise both setups. Personally I wouldn’t do it.
You could do a removable hitting screen in front of your main screen. Some projectors have motorized lens shift and focus to adjust between different screens. Then the impact screen can protect the center speaker when golfing. It will dampen the center sound a bit when hitting but don’t think that would be a big deal.
