maybe two of the shots of the year was spawns putted at uh Oakmont and then the the shot that went in with Scotty today on 17. What was sort of I know you still had a couple holes to to play and try to match it today, but what’s sort of going through your mind when he makes a shot like that? He’s just he set a great shot. Um nothing you can do with that. I just didn’t play good enough. What did you notice from yourself kind of at that at the start that maybe just I mean you didn’t get off to the best of start? No, I got off to an absolutely horrific start. Um yeah, I just expected jumpers on one and two. Um one it’s come out dead and then it’s got a massive mud ball just short of the green. Hard to control the chip. But actually felt great going out today. Nothing. I I wasn’t even expecting to to be overpowered to be honest. I was fully expecting to out there foot down and perform the way I have the last couple of days. just um yeah, my golf ball was going miles today. I don’t know why. I need to work that out, but um when I got the game back in somewhat of a shape, I just I went over the back of the par threes where I feel I’ve hit good shots and they’ve I’ve gone miles. You feel like you battled? I mean, the you lose the lead five holes in, but stayed competitive really up until Scotty chipped in. Look, I mean, I’m walking up I think it’s 15 and I’m talking to myself. Um I wasn’t nice on myself up to that point. Scotty’s missed the putt and then I’m like right if you were given one shot back going up 15 at the start of the week would you have taken it 100% had I taken it? Yes I had the lead but it doesn’t matter until the final part on on 18th green 72nd hole. So, I still had a chance. And then, I mean, when he’s when he’s pitched that in on on 17 and then he’s hit the perfect T- shot on 18, it was it’s pretty much game over. It’s then just you’re playing for for second place at that point when he’s I mean, he seems to be hitting every fairway, every green, and it’s kind of the two of you out front. Like, does that that’s got to put extra pressure? You know, he’s not going to blink, right? Yeah, not at all. I mean, I can’t control what he does. He look I mean he he doesn’t hold that. He doesn’t gap him down um on 17. He holds it. If he didn’t gap down there, my ball didn’t fly two yards long. Um it might have been a different story, but look, he’s a better player on the day. Um yeah, I’m just really pissed off right now. What do you see as kind of improvements you feel like you need to make? Like I don’t I mean right now not a clue. I’m not Right now I want to go and smash up my golf clubs to be honest with you. Um had obviously a lot of fans here today for Scotty. I think one guy was heckling you on 12 a little bit but did you think they How many? Well, one when I was walking right next to you on 12s for sure. Um did I mean did you think they did a good enough job controlling that? And were you you know I guess what do you sort of have to do to kind of fight through that? I’m not going to comment.

  2. No class whatsoever from these hecklers. It seems indicative of some people today. Sad that it has arrived around the wonderful game of golf. Bobby Mac is a class act. His time will come, whereas these scumbags will need to look at their ugly mugs in the mirror every day.

  3. Watching Sunday I expected this interview to be a lot different. Kudos to him for the professionalism and reflection

  4. Love watching him play, hope he continues to do so for a long time. Commenting on mouthy fans is a no-win situation. He handled that well.

  5. Bob as an American I’m sorry for about the ass hole hecklers you endured! You showed amazing grit and fight without your best game. You are one of my favorite players because of it!

  6. Keep going Bob,you're a great talented golfer with the right attitude.
At least you have some personality and sense of humour in playing the great game of golf.
    All te best!!!

  7. You should be proud of yourself Bobby. You may have also learned a hard lesson. You are a fabulous golfer, just go play and leave the noise behind.

  8. Never heard of him, but admire how he ha died his emotions and the interview. Look forward to seeing him atop leaderboards in days to come. gaun yersel' lad

  9. Robert has to beat this side of the game. He has done well to be as close to Scottie. Smashing his clubs is ridiculous

  10. Really good player but classic example of bottling it big time.. Scottie just strikes fear in to opponents

  11. Wow, compare this honest and professional attitude with one of the top LIV / YouTube players, what a difference.

  12. Unlike some players, he had the maturity and class to conduct a press conference after a very tough final round and respectfully answer their questions. He's a fine player and a terrific sportsman.

  13. Not a collapse; a bad day. He's had many good last rounds and played well enough to win significant events and he'll win again.

  14. No comment… well said Bob , some spectators they have no idea what golf is and represent . just unfair. Scotty do not play well and you dont play as your level. we will see what happens next

  15. Imagine having to spend two rounds with a bore like Scheffler, no wonder he collapsed, I'm surprised he didn't slit his wrists.

  16. My advice for answering questions from sports journalists? One word answers followed with, next question. Why do people think a long winded, guilt ridden, ashamed of oneself, self reflective answer is warranted? For example; Q. "How did you feel you played today?" A. Fabulous. Next question. Q. Well, you had a double bogey on 12, recovered nicely on 13 and 14, can you explain what happened on 15 with a bogey? No. Next question. Q. Yes, with FOX sports, it was a pretty hot day out there today. Did you feel 100% after 15, because I thought you looked tired and a little lost and unfocused on 16. No. Next question. Q. Ok… your answers are quite short with us today, is it because you're tired? Yes, next question. etc etc etc etc… and then read replies made by the masses… move onto the next game

  17. Golf is hard on Sundays. Golfing against the greatest golfer in the world on Sunday is extremely hard. He's going to be tough to beat in the Ryder Cup

  18. Golf is a target sport and the tools while much improved are not perfect with few margins for error. Lucky shots and unlucky bounces abound. Scottie is on a roll now but as we have seen often these only last a few years.
