Everyone looks at what is right, foot is doing after impacts and it looks like he’s falling off and looks goofpy and all that stuff, but I mean it’s just a completely different way to move your body. He moves his lower body. He has a lot more lateral movement and I don’t think you see a lot of guys that are as lateral as he is or slides as much as he is. But he’s a big guy, so he can get away with that and still produce a lot of power. That’s just what makes that right foot kind of go behind the left foot. That’s why it looks a little bit off, but when you break it down, it’s obviously a great move. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be Scotty Sheffler. [Music]

Ugliest swing in golf… I can't watch him
I guess NO ONE remembers Mark Calcavecchia who did the same move & Greg Norman …….LOL.
Love golfers, 99.999%. They give respect to one another.
the Genesis of Scotty Scheffler's right foot action is —->>>> 3rd Law of Motion !!!
Centrifugal Force…. Due to the weight of the swinging arms, hands and club on the downswing for Scotty to stay in perfect equilibrium balance, there MUST BE an "equal and opposite force" to counter balance the centrifugal force created by the swinging arms, hands and club creates a pull on the body. Due to the third law of motion this pull must be dealt with in an equal and opposite direction….this opposite and equal force is called centripetal.
*** The right foot goes back behind him to counterbalance the weight of the swinging arms, hands and club on the downswing.
There a guy in my club who has the ugliest swing imaginable worse than any on tour and the guys a scratch handicap its mind boggling
I think it's a great move, clearly a natural swing not trained to positions and that so far is serving him very well.
No lag is swing = more low point shift
Ernie Els has the opposite thing. His lead foot pops up and kind of hops to his outside. Whatever works and is consistent. That is it.
I don’t understand how Scottie hasn’t had a debilitating lower body injury yet. I’m glad he hasn’t, but that move doesn’t look great for the joints.
Greg Norman made a very similar move with his back foot. Worked for him too 😬
