English golfer Charley Hull has disclosed that Donald Trump extended a golf invitation to her during his Windsor Castle state banquet.

The LPGA professional attended the lavish event hosted in the US President’s honor by King Charles and Queen Camilla on Wednesday, which also featured attendees like UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who has been supported to finally grant Trump his long-awaited desire, joining the spectacular dinner.

Naturally, it didn’t take long for Trump and Hull, who was compelled to pull out of last month’s PIF London Championship following an injury from a parking lot tumble, to start discussing their mutual love of golf. It comes after Kai Trump hinted her granddad might have been right about little sister Chloe’s golf skills.

For the 29-year-old, it surely would have been a ‘pinch me’ experience given her respect for Trump. Hull previously advocated for him to be “head of the UK”, while she also executed the infamous ‘Trump dance’ on the course at last November’s The Annika tournament on the LPGA Tour.

On Wednesday evening, though, she finally had the opportunity to encounter the U.S. President in person. He concluded by making a particular proposition to her, having previously attempted to do so last year.

“I spoke to him last night and he has invited me (to play),’ Hull told BBC Radio 5 Live on Thursday. “He has said he wants to sort a game out. That is pretty cool.

“Last year, he reached out actually to my agent and he wanted to play at the end of the year, but I think I was going on holiday. We spoke about it last night and we are really going to try and sort a game out before the end of the year, which will be pretty cool.”

Hull further detailed her conversation with Trump, mentioning that they chatted “for a little while” and he seemed like a “lovely man”. She added that they “really got on” well together.

“I will look forward to playing golf with him, and he was very engaging with everyone,” she expressed. “We were just talking about golf and he knows a few players on the LPGA Tour and some of the guys as well.”

Hull posted photos of her dazzling attire for the evening on social media, looking quite different from her usual professional appearance.

Fresh from winning her first title on American soil in over three years at the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by PandG, Hull arrived at Wednesday’s banquet.

The $300k winner’s prize wasn’t the only bonus Hull received. The victory also propelled her three spots up the Rolex World Rankings to a career-high of No. 5, making her the first English player to reach the top five in the world since the rankings launched in February 2006.
