HALIFAX — Pomerleau’s Atlantic team recently hosted its second annual charity golf tournament, raising over $90,000 in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC).
The event, held at Granite Springs Golf Club in Bayside, N.S., brought together over 150 participants from across the industry, including trade partners, clients and community leaders, explains a release.
The initiative was spearheaded by Warren Dietrich, a project manager at Pomerleau, who also served as emcee for the day. A Hodgkin’s lymphoma survivor who celebrated his five-year-cancer-free milestone at last year’s inaugural tournament, Dietrich is personally connected to this event.
“This tournament is more than a sporting event — it’s a testament to what we can achieve when we unite around a shared purpose,” he said in a statement. “I’m humbled by the generosity of our construction community and proud of the legacy we’re building together for those affected by blood cancers.”
The day featured a friendly foursome-style competition, a barbecue and a silent auction with prizes.
