What is up my fellow golf ball addicts? Welcome back to the channel. We are continuing along the Volulvvic line. I have three other models to test. We have the Axia hologram, the Vista 3 Prism, and the Magma. Let’s dive right in. Guys, as always, I appreciate everything you do on this channel. I couldn’t be here without you. This is my first review since going fulltime and being full-time into this and I I couldn’t have got here without you. So, thank you so much. Uh, if you haven’t become a member of the channel yet, it’s just a dollar a month. It just helps me provide even more content to you. Once you hit the subscribe button, the subscribe button turns into either like a join or subscribe plus depending on what you have and that’s how you join that way. Uh, also liking, commenting, the free stuff. I appreciate that just as much. Thank you so much. All right. So, the original Volulvvic lineup we did, which was kind of more their two-piece softer, you know, uh there was a ladies ball in there, senior ball, you know, that kind of stuff. They actually did pretty decent. Um, you know, I there was a couple things I was kind of like, eh, but there was a lot of Yeah. And I’m really hoping that continues on here, but there is a couple things that kind of concern me. I’ll get to those in just a second. But these are more of either your distance models or your uh, you know, more firmer. You know, they’re all around the 90 compression. So maybe a little bit of tour thrown in there, but that that kind of feel, right? So now all three of these golf balls have a specific stick, if you will. Like they’re all designed to be a little different. The Axia hologram is exactly how it sounds. It has a hologram uh or holographic, if you will, alignment tool, which is a 360, which is kind of a neat idea. We’ll test it and see how it works later. Uh then the Vista 3 Prism 360 uh has a like kind of a rainbow type line all on it. Has, you know, the prism of colors, and I’m interested to see how that rolls. And then the final one, actually, this isn’t really, this doesn’t have a stick. It’s just a uh I guess if anything, it stickick is the fact that it’s non-conforming. It’s advertising that it’s not USGA conforming. So, it’s supposed to just be a really explosive distance model, I guess. Uh so, we’ll test that as well. All right, let’s get into pricing and design. Let’s look at these. Now, when we look at the Axia Hologram, we can see all three of these are actually three-piece models. Um all of them are 90 compression. They have different swing speeds, which is kind of interesting. But really, the main difference is going to be between the dimple pattern. So, when we look at the price, as you can tell, the Magma’s $29.99. The Vista 3 Prism is $29.99. The Hologram is $32.99. For Iometer golf balls, that’s not bad. It could be better. It’s kind of that middle ground. The Axia being a couple dollars extra cuz the holographic, I mean, that’s I don’t know how many of you are going to pay extra just because it’s holographic, but anyway, we’ll see. So, like I said, the difference is going to be mainly in the dimple pattern. So 366 from the Axia, 322 from uh the Vista 3, but the Magma is what’s interesting there. It has 296. And anytime I see less than 300, that tells me it’s a very low, you know, penetrating flight, probably for a very, very fast swinger. And also, those dimples are probably going to eliminate a lot of backspin. But the problem with that is I’m I’m imagining a lot of left and right. When I see a golf ball under 300, I almost always have trouble with if I accidentally close the face, it way hooks left. If I open it, it turn, you know, that kind of thing. So, we’ll see. Again, that’s all stuff we’re going to test. So, interesting enough there. Now, let’s look at the design of these golf balls. Again, when it comes to the Axia hologram, you know, on the left there, as you can see, that’s what it looks like. There is no version that isn’t a hologram. So, either you like the hologram or too bad, so sad, cuz that’s what they have. And I mean, that’s kind of the whole point of it. So, I get it. Uh then if we look at the Vista 3, you know, the Vista 3 actually comes in two different colors right now. Um it comes in just the regular Prism like you see there, but they also have a really cool America themed one. It’s like a Patriot Pack kind of thing that’s going on right now. This is what it looks like. Really cool. They’re advertising this for the Ryder Cup. Uh go USA. Not sure about our chances. I’ve heard some mixed things, but I’ll be rooting for us nonetheless. You know, maybe Sheffller or Elise, you know, do really well. Then when we get into the Magma, the Magma actually comes in two different colors. It comes in white and it comes in yellow. Now on Vulvix’s website, this is sold out at the moment, but from my understanding, you can still get it from Amazon and things like that. So it comes in two different color designs uh with the alignment tools. You know, I don’t have to explain the alignment tools on the other two, but this is what it looks like on the Magma. Yeah. And I love that. I love the fact that all these have alignment tools. They are unique. You guys know I love a good alignment tool. So let’s go ahead and go out to the chipping and putting green. Let’s see how they do around there. And let’s test and see how good those 360 lines are. Oh, nice. Uh, very firm release. Not a lot of backspin. Very dead in the hands. No sound at all. I did not expect it to sound like that. I expected to have some click. It did not. Let’s try one more time. Oh, I caught too much of it. Very springy, actually. Very, very, very springy off the club. I wouldn’t have guessed that either. I thought it was going to be more tolike. Uh, not that that’s a problem. It’s just Okay, there we go. That’s perfect. Huh? Boy, just it’s off the green and that’s that’s such a shame. I mean, it did have some bite. It did have a little bit of tug in there, but it firmly released to the back of the green. Let’s run that back. Yeah, a little bit of bass effect there. I just don’t like the firm release, that’s all. Uh, but again, just completely dead. No feeling. Yep. Nope. All right, let’s try to get this last one in. Oh, I had the right idea. I just put too much sauce. Lot more springier than I thought. Moving on to the prism. Again, really dead. Boy, the colors look really cool when they’re rotating. That’s kind of nice. Uh, I did not like the checkup, though. Yeah, kind of the same thing as the Axia, you know? I mean, it does have that tug, so it does have a little bit of grip from the cover, but as far as rotation, there just isn’t enough to actually get it to stop. It just shoots off. A little bit of treadmill effect there. Um I mean I’ll do this one here. I’m going to open the face just a little bit. Yeah. I mean I did see a tiny bit of bass effect. I opened the face and hit a cut. So it did shoot to the right just a smidge. But there’s just not a lot of bite there. There just really isn’t. It’s very, you know, kind of medium. Last but not least, we have the Magma. Mr. Powers and Hot Piping Magma. Okay. Boy, I they all feel like the same golf ball. I mean, there’s again, there’s no difference in the feel there. It’s completely dead in the hands. No sound. I mean, just let me verify this one. I I’m not seeing much tug. Yeah, that’s probably got the least bite of the three, but they’re all just so close. I did hear a click on that final one. I would say that the the magma differences itself by having low sound opposed to none. But I mean, I just I don’t know. There’s just no rotation there, you know? I mean, it’s just they all firmly release. I’m not seeing much bite. I’m not seeing much grip. All right. So, one thing I got to talk about on all these golf balls are these cool alignment tools. You know, you guys know I love a good alignment tool. And uh you know, I got to say these are very nice. This one’s holographic right here. So, that’s definitely unique. I’m going to actually try this out and see. Oh, very cool. Very easy to see. Actually, I I didn’t know if it would be easy to pick up, but there’s actually a thick black line in the middle, and that’s what I see more than anything. I actually don’t pick up the holograph part that much, but not bad, huh? Lot of spring. Remember how I talked about that with the wedge? Mallet putter is no different. Okay, not bad. Um, you know, the feeling is good, not great. It’s It’s nice and soft off there. There’s a little bit of feedback. It’s great. It doesn’t have a crispiness, though. So, I mean, it definitely springs off. It’s easy to putt. You know, it’s like a thumbs up, but I’m not overjoyed about it. So, not bad at all. Now, again, going to test the alignment tool here. This is the Prism 360. I again, you have to I mean, this is so cool with all the colors. Oh, look at Oh, that’s cool. So, I mis hit the putt a little bit, but I love how it looks. It kind of has a rainbow effect when it’s when it’s being puted. That’s really unique. Um, I I could see myself putting with that on the course and really enjoying it. I don’t think this is going to go in the hole if I hit it perfect, but Oh, look at that. There we go. Yeah, that’s cool. That’s really cool. It’s just different and unique. I love the fact that when you’re watching it, it’s almost mesmerizing. You know, a lot of the time when I put a ball, I’m looking at the hole and the ball and the hole. I’m just watching the ball here because it’s just so cool. All the colors. That’s really awesome. I’m going to do it one more time. I’m hoping the camera will pick this up. because it’s just it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Oh, that’s just so cool. I love that. Yeah, I could get used to that. Um, as far as the feel and everything, again, kind of like the Axia, it’s not as springy, but is dead in the hands, you know? It’s it’s okay. Yeah, just not a lot of feeling. Just kind of bland, you know what I mean? Like macaroni and cheese with no salt, you know? It’s like, hey, look, I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s good, but you got to have salt in there. It ties everything together. Now, this last one has one of the alignment tools kind of like the XT Soft did, which is a great one. It’s very bare minimum, but I still want to see how it is just because we’re comparing the other ones. Yeah, I don’t really care for that as much. I mean, it’s great that it’s there, but boy, after after you experience Rainbow Road over here, I mean, my goodness, everything else just seems kind of eh. But, uh, again, feel just just like the others. They’re so close. That one I can actually hear a little bit of kind of hollow click, but just like the wedge, they’re all very, very, very close. Yep, definitely can hear that. That’s a really good roll. I would say the Magma has the best roll of the three. It’s the only three that really has any sound. All right. Now, we have the traditional blade putter. I am interested to see if this is any different just because, you know, the feedback. Oh, yeah. That’s that’s heavy. That feels really heavy off of a blade putter. Um, one more time. Oh, yeah. No, I don’t like that. It’s just a little heavy. I mean, the click is nice. Um, but it it just feels like I’m putting something that weighs just a little bit more. You know what I mean? Not not a lot, but just a little bit more. And I I don’t care for that. [Music] Roll is really good. Still has a lot of spring, but I just I just don’t care. I would say the roll is a nine out of 10. I haven’t seen a true roll from any of these yet. Wow, that had a lot of spring. I mean, that that Yeah, that ball’s gone. Um I was not expecting it to have that much pop off the club. Okay, I like that. Now, see that has the that click and the crispiness without the heavy feeling. So, I actually like that a little bit better. I would say so far this is a little step I would say so far this is definitely an upgrade. Oh yeah, I like that little bit of chug effect, but not bad. Yeah, that’s that’s great. Awesome. All right, now the magma. [Music] Again, that’s heavy. Yeah, that’s that’s heavy. The click isn’t as loud as I thought it would be. I mean, it’s just heavy. That’s all. It’s just heavy. And that heaviness is producing some chug effect. Uh I’m not a big fan of the roll. Yeah. And my putting is not great. Yeah, you know, um, they all are similar. They’re all in the the Spectrum as far as being close together. I I really don’t care for any of them with the blade putter other than the Vista 3 that that second one I hit. But, I mean, the mallet is pretty good. I would say if you have a mallet putter, these are workable, you know, especially like I love that 360, you know, rainbow road line there. I mean, I could definitely get used to that. It would give me some confidence putting. But, um, as far as just in general putting, this isn’t something I would highlight from this golf ball. I wouldn’t tell my friends like, “Oh, you you really want something that putts well?” Yeah, go with the Vulvix. The these are okay. I mean, they’re they’re a little bit better than average, but not by much. All right, starting with the Axia. See what we got. Okay, so that was a mit. Not bad. Three out of five. Uh definitely did not feel like it sprung off the club very well. And it definitely let me know. Now, it didn’t let me know like it didn’t punch me or anything and throw me out in the alley, but it did let me know like, hey, that was a mishit. So, you know, it’s okay. Right in the middle. Now, let’s try for a pure hit. Uh, yeah, just three out of five. I mean, I will give it credit that the mis hit feels a lot like the pure hit. Um, but I mean, it’s just okay. Again, it’s kind of like what we just talked about at the green, right? I mean, it’s like mac and cheese with no salt or mashed potatoes with no salt. I’m sorry. You got to salt it. You have to. I don’t care what quality of potato you have. It’s got to have salt on it, baby, or it’s not good. Oh, yeah. so much better. Now, it is firm. It was clicky, but it felt like it had some explosiveness. It really felt like it jumped off the club. Um, you know, whether or not the numbers show that, we’ll see. Oh, baby. Yeah, that one was that was some nice compression. I like that. Four out of five definitely on the pure hits. Now, I just got to find a way to kind of hit it off the toe. I got to give it a two. It’s definitely not the the best feeling off the toe. Um, you know, all three of these golf balls are a little firmer. I talked about that. Uh, with that being the case, mis hits, it’s it’s kind of rough in the hands. I’m definitely feeling it a lot more than I do on other golf balls. Now, next up, this is the Magma. And I think this is supposed to be kind of the firmst of the three. I, you know, we’ll see. Oh. Oh. Oh. Little bit of a mishit, but yeah. No, that that felt like that felt like an old TP5X. Like where when I mish hit it, I feel like I lose 30 40 yards. Not great. Pure hit is a three out of five. I, you know, I would say missit. Let me hit another mishit just to see. I want to verify it. Um, three out of five. I feel confident on the pure hit, but Oh, ouch. One out of five. [Music] All right, let’s talk some data now. Let’s see how these did. Let’s start with the 50 yard pitch backspin RPM we’re looking at. All right, as you can see, we have some green here. Uh starting with the Axia hologram 857 just barely crosses over into the green. It’s close to being mid, but hey, it it works. And I’ll tell you what, 34.6 6. That is an insane launch angle. That is really high. That’s the kind of stuff I usually see with like a Callaway Super Soft or a, you know, like a a two-piece golf ball designed to just get really high up in the air. Uh, so I mean, it is going to have ripback. Not everyone’s going to like that high launch, but it is going to have some ripback based on 8,000 RPM and a 35 launch angle. Holy cow. Um, now when it comes to the Vista 3, I know that number is disappointing. You know, it has a mid- high kind of flight. I do have a theory, and I again, I don’t know this. There’s no way for me to test this, but I do wonder if because of the 360 prism line on it, I wonder if those different colors were just kind of throwing off the launch monitor a little bit. I don’t have anywhere to verify that, unfortunately. But I I’m just wondering because the number is so low. I mean, that’s one of the lowest I’ve seen this year. So, uh, just got to take it with a grain of salt, but I do want to keep an eye on that for sure. And then if we look at the Magma, you know, that’s a healthy, respectable number and it’s a mid-launch, so that’s great. Off to a good start. Let’s move on. Very disappointing in the Vista 3. I was hoping it would be a lot more. I love that the other two kind of held their own. The main problem I ran into with the Vista 3 was that uh the forgiveness when it came to spin. There’s always remember I always tell you there’s two types of forgiveness, right? There’s, you know, distance forgiveness, but there’s also spin forgiveness. And, you know, sometimes golf balls depending on how the compression is, how they’re made, what the cover is made out of. Essentially, some golf balls will when you mishit them, they’ll only spin 500 RPM less. That’s good forgiveness. I love that. But sometimes they’re like this where guys it was either like 7500 or 2,000 and it just and there’s only been a couple balls I’ve experienced like that this year. But that was the case either when I hit it pure and I really hit down on it and I went like oh okay yeah that’s the one 7500 to 8,000 it was great. But you know anything that’s not directly right in the center even slightly doesn’t matter. I mean it was like 2,000 you know I got one that was like 1876 and I could feel that too. I just a little disappointing. You know, I like I said, I’ve experienced a couple golf balls like that this year, and when I mish hit it, I really felt like I mis hit it. And that golf ball did not have a problem telling me either. So, interesting enough, at least off the wedge. So, let’s go ahead and get into the pitching wedge we’re looking at. All right, so we got a little bit of everything here. It looks like uh when we start with the ball mileph speed, um you know, when we look at the first two, those are just barely in the yellow. They’re actually both almost green. 96.3, 96.5, very, very close. Uh 94.1 is a little lower, but you know, we have to look at the smash factors also. And you’ll notice the smash factors for the Axia and the Vista are green. It’s actually just average for the Magma. And the reason for that is because I swung a lot slower. If we look at the uh club speed, 77.7. Uh so that kind of had to deal with that. I that’s why smash factor is definitely an important uh statistic when I do this. We did lose some yardage. I’ll talk about that in a second. low launch with the Magma, mid-launch with the Vista 3, and again, Axia had the high launch, which is the same as it was with the 50-yard pitch. Distance-wise, you know, we got average there. We got average there with a, you know, green roll out, which is nice with the Vista. Uh, again, the yardage on the Magma is really low. I’ll talk about that in just a second. Uh, overall, these are, you know, okay. I don’t see anything eye popping other than the spin number on the Magma. You’ll notice that’s 7,847. That is a significantly high spin number. one of the highest I’ve seen with a pitching wedge this year. So, with that being said, let’s move on. All three of those numbers actually are really good. Now, the first thing you might notice is you might look at uh the Magma and you might say, “Ah man, four to five yards less.” But here’s the thing. You got to remember that one, the spin on the Magma was ridiculous. 7800 is bonkers, outrageous. So, that golf ball is going to lose two or three yards just on that spin alone. but also the fact that I did swing a little slower. 77.7 compared to 79.2 7 8.9. Uh about a mile and a mile and a half hour difference. Um and as you can see from the smash factor, they were all right there. So I I don’t really have a problem with that. I’m just looking at the spin number. It’s a high spin golf ball, it looks like. So nothing really that bad there. I know at first glance it looks bad, but a golf ball with a lot of spin, I’m okay losing a yard or two. Getting into the seven iron, we’re now looking at Yeah, we have quite the negative sandwich here. Um, you know, starting with the Axia hologram 112.1. That’s really low. Uh, healthy spin number 5600. Love to see that. Nice little kind of high launch at 17. Again, Axia launch is high. That’s what it’s been doing consistently this whole time. I appreciate that. What I don’t appreciate though is the 155.3. That is really low. I lost about 7 to 8 yards off my average. Smash factor is abysmally low. If we look on the Volulvvic Magma, we see the same exact thing. Uh, I’ll talk about why these two golf balls were so low on everything here in a second. Uh, but let’s also highlight the positive here. In the middle of this negative sandwich, there is a Vista 3. Uh, which is really, really cool because 117.4 is awesome. You know, a nice mid spin, which again, consistency. It’s been kind of mid spin this whole time other than the 50-yard pitch. I like that. uh it wants to launch a little low, but you know, considering it had a gain of three yards in distance and four yards in roll out, I’m okay with that. And a great smash factor. So, uh the ones on the ends are kind of duds, but that one in the middle, that’s actually looking very, very promising. Yeah, unfortunately, I did make excuses when it came to the pitching wedge because, you know, I it makes sense. Uh however, when it comes to the 7iron, this is where I I’m out of excuses. There’s there’s nothing I can really say to defend this. So, when it comes to the Axia, when it comes to the Magma, what I ran into with the 7ir is, and there’s no other way to sugarcoat it, some of the worst forgiveness I’ve ever seen on a golf ball. I mean, just period point blank, right? Um, there’s a lot of golf balls that when I hit them pure, it’s like, yeah. And then I hit them just slightly, you know, off the center and I’m like, okay, yeah, I got most of it. these. If it wasn’t pure, if it wasn’t dead center, it stung the hands. I lost 20 yards, 15 yards, anywhere in that range. I I have never lost confidence with a golf ball so fast than with the mid irons on both of those models, the Magma and the Axia hologram. I mean, just, you know, I mean, and don’t get me wrong, I understand that when you mish hit it, of course you’re going to be punished a little bit, but you golf ball addicts know by now, you know, I look for like losing five yards, seven yards, not 1520. And that’s why those averages were just so abysmal. So, you got to imagine, you know, when I hit these golf balls pure, yeah, they went 162, 163, but I only got that two or three times out of 17 shots. That’s how unforgiving they are. And so, you know, I like the spin numbers. I I like, you know, there’s certain things. I like how they’re all different launch angles. You know, they all have different launch angles depending on what you need. Uh but the Vista 3 there is the clear winner. It actually held its own. It had some decent forgiveness. It exploded off the club, which remember I told you during the feel, it felt like it exploded off the club. That’s where I’m seeing that cuz I test that with a seven iron. The other two I I I would stay away from unless you are a very fast swinger or an extremely good ball striker. Extremely. I’m talking nine out of 10 or better. I mean, that’s just my opinion. Okay. Uh getting into the driver we’re looking at. All right. So, we have a really respectable number there with the Axia hologram as well as the Vista 3. Both of those are awesome. Anything over 145 is just great. I love to see it. Magma 142.7 comes in at average. A little disappointing considering, you know, the whole non-conforming distance golf ball thing, but it is what it is. Maybe I’m just not swinging fast enough to get the most out of it. Uh when we look at spin, you know, we got mids on the far two, but the Axia is just barely in the red there. It’s just barely a high number. Uh again, it launched the highest of the three, which has been the most consistent thing throughout all this. Uh 235, 243, 234, those are all excellent distance numbers. And if we look at the smash factors, they’re all above average, really good. Um I just really love the Axia hologram a lot. It seems like that’s where it makes most the money here is with the driver. haven’t really been too impressed with anything else. But overall, these are some really good driver numbers. I would say the Magma I’m a little disappointed in just because again, you got to think about what the golf ball is, right? What’s it trying to do? What’s its market? You know, and when you tell me you’re a non-conforming distance golf ball with, you know, explosiveness, I I would expect better than that, you know? I mean, we got similar numbers with the the Radiance, you know, a two-piece kind of lady senior ball from Volvik. So, I don’t know, a little disappointing in that regard, but overall, I think a lot of people are going to like these when they hit them off the tea. Yeah, no surprise there. When it comes to golf balls that are firmer, a lot of, you know, from robotic testing and other, you know, publications that produce this stuff, you know, these firmer golf balls do come off the driver very hot, but like we’ve seen, that doesn’t always mean that it’s a better ball. Because the seven iron, frankly, with the Axia, that’s a dealbreaker for me. It just is. the lack of forgiveness with really in some areas with all these golf balls just isn’t isn’t my cup of tea. Um once you get to the driver, it almost always performs really well, especially Volulvix. Vulvix in general have performed pretty well with the driver. Um I do love the 235. I do love the 234. Getting over 240 with total rollouts awesome. Uh the ball speed, both of those are excellent. Anything over one 45 is just two thumbs way up. Nine out of 10. 10 out of 10. I love it. Um, the Magma on the other hand, I don’t know. We’ll touch on the Magma in just a second, but I’m just Those are mediocre numbers. They really are. Now, I did swing a little slower. Uh, no, I didn’t. Never mind. Sorry. Tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. Couldn’t. All right, moving on. Let’s go ahead and go over to the computer. Let’s look at the accuracy and dispersion, and let’s see how those numbers are. I know they’re not very forgiving, but let’s see how that correlated to how accurate they were. All right, so when we come to the Axia, uh, 50-yard pitch is, you know, it’s good. You know, when we look at like the six that are right there in the middle, it’s great. There is one that went really far. This golf ball is kind of springy. I’ve mentioned that a couple times. So, you can see that I had some distance issues. Uh, but for the most part, accuracy is okay. I mean, both those are average. Getting into the pitching wedge, not bad. Definitely solid. All those are, you know, I would say seven or eight of those are just darts. I mean, giving me birdie opportunities, so I love to see it. Seven iron is really sporadic. There’s just no other way to say it. And again, I had lots of issues with the seven iron with forgiveness. uh accuracy is uh maybe a little above average, but as far as just total consistency with distance, goodness gracious, it’s all over the place. Uh then we get into driver, kind of a similar thing. We have two pushes to the right, two pulls to the left. Don’t get me wrong, I love what I’m seeing there in the middle. Those middle six are awesome. But I mean, if I’m going to, you know, four out of 10 times either pull this or push it, I am having a little bit of an issue. There’s been a lot of golf balls lately I’ve really dialed the driver with, and this just doesn’t seem to be one of them. All right. When it comes to the Vista 3, uh, again, kind of similar with the 50-yard pitch there. There’s not a lot of consistency. I mean, it’s just kind of all over the place. So, eh, it could be better. Uh, getting into the pitching wedge, uh, again, it’s okay. I do like if we, you know, focus on like five or six there in the middle, that’s really, really good. But, uh, five or six on a golf ball like this, it just isn’t going to get it done for me. Uh, seven iron is better than the Axia. I actually kind of like that. There is some positives to build on there. You know, at least most those are on the green or at least close to it. So, not bad. That’s above average. And then when we get into driver, that’s really impressive. All those are going to be in the fairway, uh, really good distance consistency. I I like that a lot. Um, now overall distance consistency, if we look at the pitching wedge, if we look at the seven iron, it’s kind of below average. I’ll just be completely honest with you. But the driver is really, really good. So, I do like to see that. And last but not least, we have the Magma. Uh, 50-yard pitch about the same as the rest of them. Uh, pitching wedge, pretty good distance consistency, but accuracy is all over the place. There’s not a lot of consistency there at all when it comes to accuracy. Uh seven iron, you can tell I had issues with the forgiveness and it shows. Uh it’s all over the place. It’s very sporadic. Um you know, I’d be very thankful if I got one anywhere near the hole with this golf ball. Uh and then driver, again, it’s not bad actually. If we focus on just the main in the middle, it’s pretty darn good. There is that one way push to the right. I would actually say driver is pretty darn good. It really is. Driver with Volulvix in general have been pretty good, and this is no different. It’s just the short game stuff. And I’ll be honest, guys, the short game stuff is so important to me. I I’m just not seeing anything from any of these golf balls with short irons that are really It’s like lightening my eyes up. So, uh it could have been better in that regard, but driver performance is there. Last but not least, let’s talk about some durability. Let’s go ahead and look at the Axia Hologram. Looking at this, um it looks pretty good for the most part. You can see a lot of like the coloration from the target where I hit it. If I feel it, it does feel kind of sandpapery. It does feel like the the outer cover is just the at least the uh coating on the outside is kind of worn down. Um it’s okay. It’s not bad. There’s no major gouges or anything. Uh but I do see a big chunk of paint missing from the hologram. Uh which is definitely concerning. And then if I look here, I see another one. Um boy, I that’s a six out of 10 until I was actually a seven out of 10, but as soon as I saw how much flaking there was on the hologram part, it’s a six out of 10. I think it’s still usable at this point, but boy, just barely. Hanging on by a thread. Looking at the Vista 3, you know, I had trouble telling which ball I even used. Now, I will admit once you get around to the side, you can see some markings and stuff. Uh there’s a couple small little tiny gouges here and there. Uh there’s some paint missing from the 360. It It’s very very close to being perfect, but because the paint is starting to flake off, it’s a 9 out of 10, but it’s really good. If I feel this golf ball, it still feels slick. Uh I absolutely trust it putting. I trust it in the air. It’s awesome. Nine out of 10 seems completely appropriate. So, good job. When it comes to the Magma, you know, I got to give the Magma some credit. Uh, you know, there’s no gouges here. There’s a couple tiny little scuff marks. You know, after this many shots, I would expect the golf ball to have, you know, at least some, you know, issues, but no, this is a 10 out of 10. I mean, when I got it out of the pack, I have a rule. If I get it out of the pack and it takes me more than a couple minutes to look and see which one I was using for the test, it’s a 10 out of 10. I absolutely love this. Uh what’s really interesting is is that firmer golf balls do usually tend to do better most of the time when it comes to durability because the way I like to think of it as if you’re not fully compressing the golf ball or compressing it to where it’s like really squishing down. Think of it like punching drywall, which you know is firm, right? But not not really firm, just firm enough you can put your hand through it if you really punch it hard enough, if you’re mad enough. Uh but when it comes to punching concrete, a little different, right? Your hand’s not going to do a lot of damage. Kind of the same concept there. Uh these, you know, really firm golf balls like this tend to do really well and this thing’s awesome. So, 10 out of 10. Love to see that at least. All right, so uh closing thoughts. Who are these for? Well, first of all, I don’t think they’re for anyone who’s an average swinger. I think I don’t think there’s any of the golf balls. Uh the Vista 3 is close. The Vista 3 I like the numbers on. It’s really really close. It just concerns me about the 50-yard pitch. Now, I will say this, the 50-yard pitch could be because of the colors. Maybe the launch monitor isn’t picking it up right. that could be something I take to the course and try. Um, if that’s the case and the 50-yard pitch is really good, I like the Vista 3 a lot. I love the the Rainbow Road, you know, type of, you know, the alignment. It looks really cool. It’s different. It’s unique. The price is $30 a dozen. It spins a healthy amount. It all the numbers checked really well. The driver was awesome. I actually like a lot of things about it. Um, probably won’t be my favorite golf ball of the year, but it’s definitely one that kind of intrigued me and got my attention. I will remember it. Uh, when it comes to the other two, the Axia hologram, you know, the Axia hologram is a cool idea, but I think that’s really just it. I mean, it’s cool, but like I didn’t really notice the hologram that much when I was putting. I didn’t see the reflection. And then by the time I was done, there was chunks missing out of it because of that. So, I I don’t know if that really helps or not. And plus, just the overall performance, the lack of forgiveness on the seven iron. I think you have to be a very very very fast swinger even in order to get these numbers great. And then my question would be, if you’re that good and you swing that fast, would you want to play a $32 ball from Volulvvic? That seems kind of like a gimmick. Not a gimmick to me, but a lot of you think it’s a gimmick, and I understand that. I don’t know. You know what I mean? It’s just one of those things where I’m I’m maybe I need more time to think about it, but right now I’m just going to kind of stay neutral. I I don’t have one opinion or the other. If you think the Axia might be for you, God bless you. You know what I mean? Like I said with the Vista 3, um, if you are 95 and up, I don’t think it should be below that. and you know, you like the the alignment tool for putting, you know, you’re not as concerned with the putting feel. You want, you know, just a really good golf ball that has some great traits, $30 a dozen, maybe for some reason you like Volulvvic. I I’ll be honest with you, the more I talk out loud, I really like the if the Vista 3 did not have the the Rainbow 360 alignment tool, it’d probably just be okay. I mean, really, I mean, the numbers are good, but I I just we’ve tested a lot of golf balls this year. I mean, am I right? When it comes to the magma, um, I I don’t understand the magma really. Um, and I don’t mean that in a negative way. I’m not trying to beat Volulvvic up. I just don’t understand. Like, it’s non-conforming. And usually usually when I see non-conforming, it means like, hey, listen, we don’t care what USGA says, baby. This ball is all about distance. That might be the case if you swing 115, 120 mph. But for me, I actually lost distance, so it doesn’t do me any good in that regard. Um, it definitely spun a ton on the 50-yard pitch. It spun a ton with the pitching wedge. Uh, seven and mid irons. Not great, especially with that forgiveness. It’s a It’s a dealbreaker for me. None of these golf balls spun on the green. The Magma was no exception. So, I don’t know. I just think there’s a lot of golf balls that are $30 a dozen that would be more worth your time. Probably the Alti Speed. Uh, yeah. All in all, guys, I wish there had been something a little bit better here. Now, Volulvvic has done really well with that two-piece line on the previous review I did. So, don’t listen. These three didn’t do the best. Maybe these aren’t made for me. They’re premium distance golf balls that are firmer. We’re now going to move into the more mid-range compression golf balls like the Combi and the Vivid Soft. Stuff like that. Or maybe it’s not the Vivid Soft. What is it? It’s the uh the Crystal. Yeah, the Vivid. Yeah, Vivid, the Vivid Combi, the Crystal. Those maybe they’ll be a little bit more for my swing speed. So, stay tuned for that. As always, keep watching, keep saving, keep learning. Until next time. Thank you so much.

  1. Played older model TP5 yesterday. Horrible sidespin and +5 after 2 holes. Went back to Warbird to save my round. 😅

  2. Another solid review. I’ve been interested in trying the Volvik balls for a while. After these reviews I’ve narrowed it down to the best for me to try: the Power Soft as I had suspected. Your review gives the confidence to make the purchase.

  3. WOW!! So many golf balls, thanks for helping us cut through all the "advertising mumbo jumbo" and find out what ball will help our game!!

  4. Gotta give Volvik this…. They are not following the pack. They so far have unique balls and original ideas. That is not easy to do in this saturated golf ball market.

Wish you had been more impressed with the performance.

  5. This is super interesting in the numbers department. I'd be willing to give the Axia a go actually, but that green side spin was ick. As a fast swinger I think I could get away with it, but not with that spin. Bring in the Vivid!!! Even if you hate it I will always love it 😂

  6. I don’t mean this to be rude, but I wonder why they choose to make so many different types of balls, especially since most of the models don’t seem like they have a defining characteristic where they really stand out compared to each other. Just seems like if they trimmed down their offerings to devote more R&D/funds towards optimizing a few models, they’d definitely get some really good balls.

  7. It’s ironic that Volvik offers so many options, yet none of them I’d consider trying.

  8. Please review the Walmart Athletic Works two-piece. $25 for 48 balls. If decent who cares about lost golf balls: less anxiety and better hits.

  9. Course Report: Precept Laddie, WOWSA, that is a very good ball, it was easy for an old man to get the desired results. My score sucked, when I did the right things on the tee box, boy thatsa goer. Side Note, I hit a Pro V1X and a Laddie, the distance was the same, the balls were about ten feet apart, distance was identical. Laddie is on the short list !!!!!

  10. That shirt is drippy, great review, agree about the Axia, fel for the marketing from Volvik. Hard to beat this years Maxfli Tour align for me. Also how have you been able to get your swing speed so high? When I first subscribed, you were mid ninteys and now you’re touching 110, very impressive

  11. As always, a good and thorough test session. Unfortunately thus far the volvik line has not impressed me. Looking forward to the condor and condor x to see how those test. Thanks again Nick
