It’s a pretty good day for the Brits on this court. Caught five today. Yeah. Billy Harris coming through in three. Made it. I think he has. [Applause] It’s done. Oh, what a set point. Terrific efforts. Danovan’s giving it everything. And he taken 2 hours 20. [Applause] [Applause] exceptional Harris. It’s a nice change up for Sir Volley gets it done this time. Five a piece. 2 hours and 37 on the clock. [Music] Oh, he’s done it. What a way to seal it. 643675. And the former US Open quarterfinalist edges a thriller on court five. He’s come through 643675. That was the toughest of draws for both players and the match lived up to our expectations for sure. We had to do it the hard way.

  1. Harris should learn to shorten points. When you've got a big forehand and being 6"5 you should come to the net more often.

  2. Weak match, both of them were playing it way too safe and slow.
None of them has any chance to win a round in the main draw playing like this.

  3. Even in table tennis, the defensive style has become obsolete. So how could that possibly work in tennis? Without a backhand drive, there are fewer and fewer opponents you can beat.

  4. glad to see lloyd harris back and winning some matches. he's looking extra handsome lately too

  5. What a terrific result – great to see Harris again and not sad to have a tournament without Evans. He manages to have negative charisma on court.

  6. I really thought Lloyd was on his way along with Ruud, Alacaraz, Sinner back in 2020 to do top 20 business but apparently he stagnated and even had wrist surgery in 2022.

  7. Great game, top-class players giving it their all at the US Open qualifiers. Why are these two top players at US Open qualifiers?

  8. Does evabs eveer use not a slice backhand, whats its definiton one-handed bh ( slice only), its kinda frustrating me i know i shouldnt be frustrated but man…

  9. can't believe these two are playing in qualifying round 1…. these guys have both been main draw in the past. wild
