This is Golfer Geeks’ Titleist GT3 driver review.
I’m an avid golfer, a 7ish handicap on my way to a 2 (been a 5.6) and frequent tester of golf clubs and equipment since 2015.
NOTE: This is my personal score for this driver. I’m not consistent enough to hit the GT3 well.

Best For
The better golfer who’s accomplished off the tee. The GT3 won’t save the average golfer.
Considerations
Titleist isn’t giving this one away at $649.
Verdict
The Titleist GT3 is a players driver.
It’s got a touch of forgiveness, but a touch is all. It rewards well struck shots with plenty distance and any shot shape you can conger.
But it won’t save you when you’re swing is a little sideways and your contact is off. (Titleist made the GT2 for that)
It’s an phenomenal driver if you’ve got the game.
Golfer, know thyself.

Launch Monitor #s
I had a WHOLE lot of trouble getting the GT3 airborne. Swing speed, launch, and ball speed were “OK.” But, I had endless frustration trying to get my ball flight.
This was my experience on the course too. Thus, it sits in my closet instead of in my bag.

Bag Appeal: (5) Beautiful club. Black on black with classic head shape. Tasteful graphics on sole. Really clean, really stylish.
Sound/ Feel: (4) Nice sound and feel. But I never once really connected with the GT3. So, I think there’s more there.
Distance: (4) Plenty long when you catch it. You start dropping yards quickly when you miss the sweet spot – my specialty.
Forgiveness: (3) Not forgiving for the average Joe. Likely plenty forgiving for accomplished drivers.
Ball Flight: (4) I didn’t get my preferred ball flight or anything close to it. But, that’s operator-error. I don’t have the driving game for this driver.
Wallet Damage: (4) ~$649 – Not cheap.
Overview & Why Consider It
The GT3 is for competent and confident drivers. Not golfers who are inconsistent off the tee – like me.
It’s a great choice if you like a refined experience with your driver and are looking to make small tweaks in the shape and flight of your drives.
My Experience with the GT3 Driver
Too much driver for the current me.
I’ve tried to hit the GT3 well, trust me.
But, I’m not familiar enough with the sweet spot to enjoy the numerous benefits the GT3 offers.
I got a glimpse of the improved sound and feel…but only a glimpse.
I got a glimpse of the distance once or twice too…but the drives were ugly and didn’t feel great.
I’m not competent enough off the tee for this driver and I don’t put in enough work to get there.
I can get around the course, sort of. But that’s not good enough when there are better options out there.
For the right golfer, I have not doubt the GT3 will sing.
I’ve got a buddy that’s a +2 handicap and he switched to the GT3 from the TSR3 and loves it.
He says it’s a genuine improvement over his TSR3 – which he also loves.
Who is the GT3 for?
Low handicaps: (Yes) 100% if you’re a low handicap from the tee box. (I’m not)
Mid handicaps: (No) Unless you happen to be a low handicap off the tee box. (Rare, indeed)
High handicaps: (NoNoNoNoNoNo) Don’t even think about it. Check here for something more your speed.
Potential Alternatives
Here are a few drivers I think match up well to the GT3 performance. You can check out my full list of comparable drivers here.
Titleist GT2 – Need a more forgiving driver with superior distance, sound & feel, and forgiveness? This is the one for you.
Titleist TSR3 driver review – Similar performance and cosmetics. Save ~$200.

Final Verdict
I know the GT3 is a great driver. Just not for me or anyone who’s similarly inconsistent off the tee.
Looks inviting and hittable at address.
Requires center or very-near center contact for good performance.
Dial in ball flight and trajectory with adjustable sole weight.
Gorgeous.
Should you upgrade if you’ve got the TSR3?
Definitely don’t need to. But, I think there’s a performance upgrade.
My #1 suggestion is to get your hands on it before you buy.
