Charley Hull has revealed she was among the 160 guests for Wednesday’s State Banquet in Windsor held in honour of President Donald Trump.
King Charles hosted the glittering ceremony in the historic St George’s Hall at Windsor Castle, where the guest list was about as high-profile as it gets.
Hull was one of two prominent golfers who were lucky enough to bag an exclusive invite.
Six-time major champion Sir Nick Faldo and his wife Lindsay were also in attendance along with rowing legend Dame Katherine Grainger, Great Britain’s most decorated Olympic athlete.
Hull looked stunning in a Facebook post the following morning as she reflected on her first time meeting the President, himself an avid golfer whop owns a number of resorts worldwide.

“An unforgettable evening at Windsor Castle,” Hull wrote. “It was an honour to be invited by the King and Queen to the State Banquet. And great to finally meet President Trump. One for the memory books.”
President Trump was amused by The King’s reference to golf as both made speeches during the extravagant dinner.
“Mr President, you have spoken of your pride of your British roots,” said His Majesty.
“In fact not only have you set foot on British soil twice in the last two months alone, but I understand British soil makes for rather splendid golf courses.”
President Trump responded in kind, explaining how “deeply grateful” he was to have been invited to a second state visit.

“This is truly one of the highest honours of my life, such respect for you and such respect for your country,” he said.
The evening was another highlight of an exceptional couple of weeks for Hull, who has made a welcome return to form after a month out with an ankle injury.
Hull took advantage of a final-hole meltdown from world No 1 Jeeno Thitikul to land her third career LPGA title at last week’s Kroger Queen City Championship.
Her victory came just a week after she finished runner-up to Nuria Iturrioz at the Aramco Houston Championship on the Ladies European Tour.
