Hilarious moment during the NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway when Ryan Blaney’s young nephew Bodie accidentally got on the team radio frequency!

During the September 14, 2025 Bristol race, with 186 laps remaining under caution, a tiny voice suddenly came across Blaney’s radio saying “Hi Uncle Ryan. Go Ryan. Win this race. Win this race!”

Blaney immediately knew what happened and chuckled, “Mom. Get Bodie off the scanner. He found Gianna’s scanner in the bus. Found out how to turn it on. Pretty smart.”

This adorable radio interruption happened during Blaney’s strong performance where he won the opening stage and finished 4th, securing his advancement in the NASCAR playoffs. The 2023 Cup Series champion had a productive night at Bristol despite some mid-race challenges.

Bodie is Blaney’s nephew, son of his sister Emma, who managed to figure out how to operate the radio scanner left in the team bus. The crew found the whole situation amusing and had to admit the kid was “pretty awesome” for his technical skills!

This has to rank among the most wholesome and funny NASCAR radio moments ever captured. Just goes to show that even during intense playoff racing, family moments can steal the show.

Imagine this, a NASCAR race, intense and thrilling, with Ryan Blay, the champion driver, giving it his all. But amidst the roar of engines and the strategic moves, something unexpected happened that left everyone, including Blay, in a fit of laughter. A little hacker, his baby cousin Bod, took over the team radio. During the Bristol race, with 186 laps to go, Blain’s radio suddenly came alive with a voice that didn’t belong to his crew chief or spotter. It was a voice that sounded like it belonged to a tiny human. And indeed, it was Bodie, his nephew, who had discovered his aunt Giana’s scanner and figured out how to turn it on. Talk about a techsavvy toddler. Blay with a chuckle, asked his mom to get Bodie off the scanner, realizing the hilarious situation. But here’s where it gets controversial. Could this cute hack be considered a form of interference? After all, it did disrupt the race communications, and this is the part most people miss. It’s not just about the race. It’s about the family dynamics and the light-hearted moments that make sports so entertaining. While Blay’s sister Aaron made headlines earlier this year for her split with Team Hendrick’s William Byron, freeing him up to pursue pop star Sabrina Carpenter, it’s Bod who stole the show with his adorable radio takeover. Sadly though, neither Byron’s romance nor Bllayy’s race ended in victory. So, what do you think? Is this a heartwarming moment or a potential distraction? Should there be rules to prevent such cute hacks? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to hear your thoughts on this unique race incident and the role of family in sports.
