UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – The ULM women’s golf team fought through three tough rounds of golf at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington. The Warhawks finished ninth out of 16 teams, with Zoe McLean-Tattan leading the team to place 16th.

“I’m really proud of how the girls battled back in the final round today,” said Head Coach Rachel Pollock. “We got off to a shaky start in round one, playing links golf wasn’t familiar to most of our players. The way that they were able to reset and adapt to come out strong and jump into the top 10 was very impressive today. It was a great learning experience this weekend and one that we will take many lessons from for the rest of the season.”

ULM posted scores of 306-301-291 (+18, +13, +3) in the three rounds. After finding ways to adjust over the first 36 holes, the Warhawks improved by 10 strokes as a team to shoot 291 and finish in the top 10.

McLean-Tattan finished four over par, firing an even-par first round and carding nine birdies in the tournament. Johanna Sjursen scored +8 and placed 24th at Chambers Bay, shooting an even-par final round. Anna Andrysova tied for 37th at +10 and shot an even-par final round as well, carding a team-leading 13 birdies. Daniela Campillo found improvement from the first round to the last, scoring +14 across 72 holes. Emma Manzini scored +21 overall, carding two birdies.

The Warhawks will continue the fall season on September 19, traveling to Franklin, Tennessee for the Mason Rudolph Championship, hosted by Vanderbilt.
