“I’ve always struggled with competing under pressure. I would always crack and was the worst version of myself. I’m so grateful for the detour my life took years ago.
“Although I felt like a loser and a quitter at the time, I always knew I wasn’t cut out for professional sports and was able to find a path better suited for my personality. It’s time we stop beating ourselves up and start being our own biggest cheerleaders! I love creating, the game of golf and connecting with you all. Thank you for your support.”
Instead, she’s now revelling in the support she receives as one of the sport’s most popular influencers.
“A bit of a sappy caption but I want to do my part to spread some positivity on social media. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without all the encouragement and love from you all. I’m forever grateful for this community,” she wrote.

However, Spiranac saw limited success as a pro, winning one tournament on the Cactus Tour and failing to earn a spot on the LPGA Tour.
After walking away from professional golf, Spiranac turned to modelling and built a huge following as an influencer on social media.
She now has more than 5 million followers across her platforms and even landed a cameo role in Happy Gilmore 2, this summer’s follow up to the 90’s Adam Sandler cult classic.
Many of Spiranac’s fans thanked her for being open about her struggles in Tuesday’s post.
