Range Cage Elite Review! Budget Golf Simulator Enclosure for Home 2025

Today we are looking at the Range Cage Elite. This is a brand new product released this summer and it is a great addition if you’re looking to add an enclosure to a budget build. One of the first things you notice about the Range Cage Elite is the size of it. It’s 10 ft wide at the opening and it narrows down to an 8tx 8 ft impact screen. If you have the size and the area in your garage, basement, or sim room for 10 ft, I definitely recommend going 10 ft instead of 7 ft or 8 ft. It’s so much more comfortable hitting into a 10 ft area compared to a 7 ft area. The next thing is the structure. High quality net. It’s powder coated tubing underneath all the Velcro here. One reason this is such a sought-after product right now, this enclosure, is the price point. At $5.99, it really is a great price. I know that sounds expensive, but once you start researching enclosures and bays, a lot of the 10 foot wide models start off at $800 and quickly work their way up to $1,200 and $2,000. So, the Range Cage Elite is large and it does take some time to put together. It’s not difficult to put together, but it’s going to take you all of 30 minutes to 45 minutes. So, I would not want to consistently put this up and tear it down. I would leave it up and if you do have to take it down, it’s not the end of the world. Something we always get asked about with cages and enclosures, are you going to be able to hit over it or what happens when you shank it? This is pretty close to being shankproof. However, when you’re golfing indoors, that golf ball can go anywhere. So no net or enclosure is totally shankproof. We have the elite shank net here to the right side. So if we do have any hoszle rockets, it does catch over here. As far as wedges, gap wedges, pitching wedges, hitting over this would be extremely difficult. As far as bounce back, when the ball hits the screen has minimal bounce back, which is really nice. As far as projectors, we are using a budget projector. This is the Wimius P62 projector. So, this is around $150, $175. So, as you can see, the screen is so large here. This is considered more of a medium throw projector. It is not a short throw projector, but for the price, we really enjoy this projector. We’re using the Country Club Elite mat. This is the 3 ft x 5 ft mat. Plenty of area. So, in my opinion, this is the best mat for under $300. You can put a T anywhere you want on the mat, which is super nice. Launch monitor wise, we are using the Garmin R10. So, this has been on the market for five or 6 years now. I believe it’s tried and tested. It’s really a great launch monitor for the price. It’s been on Amazon recently for around $450, which in my opinion is a steal. And then there’s also the Rapoto MLM2 Pro, which is also a great launch monitor. This retails for $700, but it has a lot of subscription fees. And then the other popular model is the Square launch monitor, and this starts at $700. People absolutely love it. It’s for indoor use only and there’s no subscription fees. There’s a lot that goes into a simple golf build like this. So, if you have any questions, let us know in the comments.
