Generations of golf instruction have actually taught people how to shank it because watch the shank. This is me just rotating way out in front of my body about on my arms and hands. You see, I’m just and I’m already here and everything’s here. Yeah. Club just like this. Uhhuh. My chest facing Kevin for as long as I humanly can. And let it go. And you can see when I mean even when I think about that I just hit the ball so much better.

💯 had 2 shanks Sat and both times my body was out in front and I was leaving my hands/arms behind
I’m assuming Kevin is parallel with him?
Pumping and pulling the handle got me into such a bad pattern that shanks would always be lurking —- since I have gone away from that almost in an opposite pattern from a pulling pumping motion to a braking handle and clubhead release, it’s been a major improvement
Early extension at its best. I had a bout of the shanks at one time and pray they never come back. I didn't know how to shank with a bad swing. It was when I started to improve my swing is when the shanks came.
I do an anti-shank drill I got from a Youtuber and I'm very mindful of keeping my trail leg still and not early extending. If I get the occasional shank (1 in every 30 rounds), it doesn't phase me.
So you want to feel your chest staying back?
Agree, ringinging the bell destroyed my swing for six months. Everything out of sync. Taking my hands out of swing got me back to single
What's the main video that this short has been taken from?
Stood straight up…who teaches that?
Nonsense you got it wrong. It's the wide open face that causes the SHANK
Absolutely, this feel can take different forms, like hideki drills. I personally like to feel like my left shoulder pulls away from my face before i go while keeping my head in place. Absolutely true!
There’s people teaching to early extend so hard you look like you’re doing a Johnny Sins impression? Must’ve missed those videos. I get the point, but instructors like this who act like everyone is selling snake oil and he’s smarter than all of them grind my gears.
His strike was so pure.
What about Jim furyk!?
The shanks suck it is contagious
Wheres Kevin???😂😂
Who’s Kevin and where is he
ladies and gentlemen, what we have here is what we in the industry like to refer to as, a snake oil salesman
❤️
Love this. How do ensure this without getting “handsy” and too much arms oppose to rotating and driving with the legs?
One minute it's turn through the next it's keep your back to the target
Back to the target as long as possible in the downswing. It really works. Jack and Tiger talked about this. Best two golfers in history 😊
This man is the best coach I've ever seen
Chest facing Kevin where's Kevin?
He names the ball Kevin? Poor little guy.
Teachers that criticize other teachers or methods are a dime a dozen. They are literally everywhere because it takes no skill or talent to do.
You say generations of golf instruction has taught golfers to shank the ball but then you don't explain how it has.
Please share how you think it has. Otherwise, all you're doing is what many teachers who have the wrong attitude do.
They criticize other teachers without explaining what it is they do that should be criticized.
By the way, you had your hands coming from the inside when you tried to show the reason golfers shank the ball.
That isn't the number one reason, nor is it even in the top five reasons golfers hit shanks. The vast majority of golfers who shank the ball are swinging outside in, not inside out.
But, I digress.
Now I will patiently wait as you explain how generations of teaching has taught golfers to shank the ball instead of just trying to demean other teachers while you try to proselyte new students.
Live by the sword, die by the sword! If you're going to pull it out, be ready for others to use it on you unless you can provide substantive evidence for your faulty claims.
