VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton golf team enters a new venue as the Bearcats are set to play at Delaware’s Blue Hen Intercollegiate from Monday through Tuesday at White Clay Creek Country Club in Wilmington, Del.
This is the first time the Bearcats are competing at this course, a par 72 that covers 7,007 yards. The 54-hole tournament features Binghamton and Delaware also competing against Bucknell, Goldey-Beacom College, Maryland Eastern Shore, Monmouth, North Carolina Central, Rider, Shepherd, Saint Joseph’s, St. Bonaventure and Western Illinois.
Binghamton opened its 2025-26 season at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial from Sept. 6-7. Jackson Vesper posted his first top five finish of his collegiate career, as the junior tied for fifth at 73-71-72 = 216/even par. His second-round score of 71/1-under also tied his lowest score over 18 holes for his Binghamton career. Overall, Binghamton finished the event eighth out of 14 teams at 296-293-296 = 885/21-over par.
The first two rounds of the Blue Hen Intercollegiate will be played on Monday. The opening 18 holes begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., with the second round following after the first round is completed. The final round takes place on Tuesday, also beginning with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
