What’s going on, Giants fans? We’re heading into week two of the 2025 New York Giants preseason. Heading into a home on home matchup with the Jets this Saturday. We’ve hit the second game of three games in the preseason. So, now is a good time to really start to analyze what’s this roster going to look like. We got to see what kind of team we are, how close are we to being where we want to be, and why I continue to believe the Giants are going to be a lot better than a lot of people think. And we’re going to get into it right now. So, to really start this whole video off right now, the hottest subject with the Giants in the last week since the Buffalo win, the first preseason game, has been the the quarterback play. And let’s be real, the quarterback play meaning Jackson dart. all NFL circles outside of this fan base nationally, everybody’s talking about Jackson Dart. A lot of people had him rated as the best rookie quarterback of the weekend that had his debut. And so when somebody like me hears that, a biased Giants fan, I’m like, “Okay, now the the national media gets it. Everybody’s kind of seeing what I thought we would see from from Jackson Dart.” He was very very impressive. You know, pretty much everything you wanted to see from Dart in that quick series. uh the quick couple series that he had. He you saw it the poise, the confidence, the ability to stand in the pocket, look down the field, you know, even with a face of pressure. He had he had even the play broke down a couple times, he had some nice runs. He showed his athleticism off. But in no way, shape, or form am I saying right now am I making this case that Jackson Dart has to be the starter for the New York Giants. That’s not what I’m doing. Russell Wilson and you’ve seen the flashes through camp. You’ve seen it in a lot of these training camp videos and especially and again today with the Jets in the in the in the joint practices. Russell Wilson was brought here to be that veteran quarterback that we can rely on. He’s also going to tutor a young quarterback in Jackson Dart. And nobody, I don’t care who you are, how excited you are about the Giants, and how much you’re fanning out right now about Jackson Dart. Nobody’s saying that Russell Wilson is not going to be the week one starter. He’s absolutely gonna be the starting quarterback and he was brought here exactly for that. But a lot of this argument that I’m seeing from the national circle or or mostly Giant content creators and giant the fan base itself on why Jackson Dart needs to sit for the majority if not all the season is ridiculous. I don’t understand it. I get it. You know, let him sit as much as possible. Let him learn as much as possible, but you only get experience in the National Football League by playing by in-game experience. You can watch the highlight reels and he can watch game film on Wilson or Winston and learn as much as possible, but breaking down film might be great for, you know, giant content creators or YouTube in general, but but for him, he’s got to get those snaps. He’s got to take the experience head on. And so for me, going into this season, I didn’t really need to see what Buffalo, and I’m not basing all this on the Buffalo game. This has been my opinion since the day we drafted him because in all reality, the schedule is going to dictate how soon Jackson plays, right? We have the if we’re being brutally honest, the Giants have literally the toughest schedule in the entire National Football League. It’s rated as the worst right out the gate. You got the two division games on the road at Washington at Dallas where you never win. always competitive against Washington. Should have beat him last year if you had a kicker rest, but then you come home for your home opener in a prime time game against the Chiefs. The first like six or seven games are very tough. A lot of people think if the Giants are lucky, they’ll get three wins. So, all my point is is, you know, we’ll see how it pans out. Russ is going to be the starter. I have a lot of trust in Russ. I like Russell Wilson. I like what he can do for Jackson Dart even as a mentor. And of course the moon ball, you know, it’s going to help out. We haven’t seen that here for these Giants receivers hitting him stride uh in the last six years. But the schedule is going to play a major part in how soon we see Jackson Dart. And so this notion to me, I get it that you want him to learn, you want him to mature as much as possible, but a lot of people act like, you know, this guy’s a a fragile piece of glass. And we’re not even, let’s be real, we traded in the first round back into the first round. Draft capital, you know, Joe Shane and Brian Dable put their nuts on the line and they traded in to get a guy in the first round, a first round quarterback. And there’s enough examples just just last season alone. Look at Bo Knicks, Caleb Williams taking the in the helm already. There’s a lot of guys in the last few years that have played in their first year, even if it wasn’t right out of the gate. But this notion that we people act like we found Jackson Dart on the back streets of Utah throwing footballs in the milk crates. guy played under 39 games under Lane Keifin and an NFL style offense against a lot of good football teams which had a lot of guys that went on to be and still good in the National Football League. So, no, I I Jackson Dart’s been tested. He’s he’s a confident kid. He’s got all the traits that Dable wants. He’s You look at the way Dable talks about this guy, he can barely contain himself. So, I’m high on Jackson Dart. Uh, if we had to start at the quarterback play, we’ll see what happens in in game two and game three of the preseason. He’ll get more snaps, I’m assuming, over the next two games. But, I got to tell you, what he brings to this team, what I’m seeing, and that attitude and that culture shift, it’s contagious. It’s it’s it’s contagious to the fan base. But more importantly, look at the team. Look at the way they respond to this guy. So, time will tell. The schedule will dictate, in my opinion, how soon the Jackson Dart era begins for the New York Football Giants. You know, the next transition is about the offensive line because Jackson Dart can be behind center. Uh Russell Wilson, Jameus Winston, it doesn’t matter. The offensive line play, we’re all critical. We’ve all been very, very critical and skeptic about this this whole unit. But I gotta say, look at look at last week. That was very impressive. 51 was it? 51 drop backs, four different quarterbacks, not a single sack. And you didn’t even have Andrew Thomas still making his way through hopefully by week one. And the star at that entire offensive line, that that unit was rookie Marcus Bo. He was already labeled a steel coming out of the fifth round. But my god, you look at that game film. Look at the way uh people like Brian Baldinger broke it down. This guy just was lighting Buffalo up, knocking guys on their ass. And so to see a guy that’s got experience playing tackle, playing guard, to be able to transition that quick hopefully is a huge plus. I think the offensive line is going to be a lot better this year. I think it’s going to be a lot better than people think. you got two pretty good tackles and then you know if you get B swinging out there at guard or tackle transition and then if Evan Neil who by the way and everybody’s hard on Evan Neil and he was my one of my list of the Giants I said f five I had five critical Giants he was one of them he’s impressed a lot of people in camp so far but you got to transition that in the game play he didn’t play on uh last weekend against the Bills but if you can get that guy on the field. If he can transition that good camp into a solid guard, sky’s is the limit for that offense. You got a competent quarterback and Russell Wilson. You got serviceable receivers, neighbors, Well Robinson, Darius Sllayton. We don’t know what the hell is going on with Jaylen Hyatt. We’ll get to him in a minute, but I’m high on the offensive line. I know that this is an overdose of optimism. So if you want, you know, negativity right now before the season starts, check out right now. It’s not going to happen. There’s a lot to be excited about. And so if if it was not real, if it wasn’t valid, we wouldn’t be talking about it. But there’s been flashes in camp that we needed to see. We need to see more of it. You know, JMS has got to pick it up. He’s got to pick up some slack. Had a rough camp. Not a consistent camp, say the least. But I believe in him. I I think he’ll get it together. And again, to me, the whole thing is is Andrew Thomas is a guy that has not been able to stay on the field the last couple seasons. The record after Andrew Thomas is, you know, proof of how important he is. And if we can keep him on the field with the maturation of a guy like Marcus Bo and maybe getting Evan Neil to transition to guard, huge. Absolutely huge for the progress of this offense going forward. You go behind the offensive line. Running backs to me are a lot stronger than again outside. Giants fans already know what we have here. But I love Tracy. I love Tyrone Tracy. The guy can do he’s a versatile back. I think he’s going to have an explosive second year and hopefully, you know, Cam Scatter right now, he started off camp, he lit the whole camp on fire, lighting up everybody’s ass. He was the highlight star of every day of camp until he has the hamstring issue, which I honestly don’t think is as bad as people think it is. I think it’s more of a precautionary thing right now. And you don’t want a guy like that to have a lingering issue when week one comes around. So, to me, sitting him out for the rest of camp, at least as far as the game, preseason games, I don’t mind it. We’ll see what happens next week as we gear up into the final preseason game. But Cam Scaboo is every bit as advertised. He’s every bit of a giant that we’re we’re used to seeing. He’s got a Jeremy Shocky quality. He runs through a wall. You know, a Mark Bavaro, Jeremy Shocki. The fans love this guy. His teammates love this guy. He comes out head button everything in sight, putting his head through brick walls. I love it. So, I’m high in the running back room. Tracy Scataboo can be used. I mean, he he’s in the passing game. It’s going to be very interesting to see what happens, especially in the red zone with a guy like Scataboo. Then you got the veteran Singleary. And to me, the fourth spot on this running back unit is a guy, you know, Dante Turbo Miller. I love this guy. Fast as right? He’s he’s amazingly fast. He’ll he’ll just light you right up and his effort again in the Buffalo game, especially out of the receiving end of the running backs. Outstanding. The problem is is you know the Giants for them to carry four running backs, he is Dave’s made it very clear this guy’s got to step up on special teams. They’re going to have to find a spot to use him in a versatile way. But you cannot lose a guy like Turbo. I think those are your four guys. You know, unfortunately, a guy like Eric Gray trying to make the roster, uh, he had injuries early on in camp, hasn’t been able to get on the field, he’s going to be a cut. And I’m confident with those four guys, you carry those four guys right then and there, you got a guy like, you know, Turbo, if somebody goes down, maybe Cam’s not ready to go, fine by me. You know, let him sit as long as he needs to sit. So again, running back unit a lot better than people think they are. Tight ends very solid play all camp long. Theo Johnson in his second year. A lot of people expect a breakout season from this big monster. You still got Manz there. You got Bellinger. And then you got the guy that has, you know, showed up in a lot of highlight reels and a lot of turns a lot of heads cuz he can do a lot. And you got the rookie Fedoni who’s really honestly showed a lot already in training camp in the preseason. Giants have a lot of confidence in this kid. Honestly, right now I see the Giants taking three tight ends. And it’s crazy to me to say it, but honestly Bellinger or Manhurst is going to be the odd man out. And I would not be shocked if it’s Bellinger. I like Belly a lot. I’d like to keep him. I think him or Manhurst is the odd man out. Giants probably keep three tight ends right there. I hope for a big season at Theo Johnson. A big huge red zone target. Russ Dart, who’s ever going to be back there, is going to be looking for this guy. I mean, so hopefully he stays healthy. You got the wide receivers. It all goes by Malik Neighbors. When Malik’s not been on the field in camp, the receivers have been, you know, they’ve been shut down by the defense. Stevens has usually won those battles. When he’s on there, he’s unstoppable. He’s absolutely unguardable. Much like Abdul Carter, you look at these clips coming out of camp. It’s embarrassing. Malik is obviously one of the top receivers in the game. I’d say top 10 obviously already. Big Darius Sllayton fan. Wadell’s got to stay healthy. But a shifty guy like that in the slot use a guy like that. Russ can use a guy like that. start. I think hopefully we can unlock that potential. But speaking of unlocking potential, you know, again, Jaylen Hyatt, he’s a guy I want to root for so bad, but he makes it so hard. He started out this off season, he comes into camp, he’s looking like a roided out monster. I’m, you know, joking around, but he’s gained 15 pounds of muscle. And for a guy that was a stick, you know, that’s a drastically looking different appearance. But with that speed, take the top right off, you put on some muscle, and then all of a sudden, you know, as you get closer to your first game, he’s on the sidelines. We still don’t really know what the hell’s going on wi with Jaylen Hyatt. He showed up on the sidelines uh two or three practices before the game against Buffalo. and the Jets practice today back in New York or back in the Giants facility. He’s on the sidelines working on the sidelines did not show up. I have no idea what’s going on with with Jaylen Hyatt. The problem with Jaylen Hyatt is, you know, he’s got a lot of potential. He’ll probably obviously still make the team. I can’t see the Giants something happening where he’s not on the roster between now and September, but boy does he have a lot to prove by far outside of Evan Neil on the offensive side of the ball. Nobody’s got more to prove than Jaylen Hyatt. And the Giants likely going to go five, six receivers here. Going to keep Smith Marcett for special teams reasons as well. I think he’s obviously safe. So, you’ll have him there. And then it’s the battle of these are the three guys that I’ve got right here who who have just been battling all camp. You got Montreal Washington. You got Jackson Dart’s favorite target, little Jordan Humphrey. And then you got my favorite, the UDFA out of Notre Dame, Bull Collins. This is a big wide receiver. Was he 6’3? Plays a lot bigger than that. Does a lot of things well. And honestly, he started off hot, then he got hurt, missed a couple practices, and in and in that downtime, you saw Humphrey and you saw Washington really step out and make a name for themselves. It’s hard to let a guy like Humphrey go, especially with what he’s shown with Jackson Dart. But overall, I am rooting for Bo Collins. I think he’ll make the team, but he’s got to show up in these next couple weeks here and hopefully on the field against the Jets uh this weekend gets an opportunity to make a name for himself. I’d love for him to make this roster. Giants receiving unit, a lot of depth there, a lot of speed, and of course, if Malik Neighbor stays healthy, sky’s is the limit. And then of course, let’s be honest, the bread and butter of the 2025 New York Football Giants is going to be the defense. Already being praised as a top 10, top five defense. Hasn’t even stepped on the field yet. But on paper, you know, you you don’t even have to be a giant nut fanatic like me. You you look at on paper that is a solid ass unit. top to bottom. But what we’ve seen so far uh in training camp, it happened again in the game against Buffalo and in right here this week against the Jets in the joint practices. That front is as advertised as deadly. The the expectations are through the roof for very good reasons. It’s hard not to watch these clips of Abdul Carter, whether it’s one-on-one drills or 11on or even in the game against Buffalo where he takes Dawkins, a Pro Bowler on Buffalo apart. Three pressures. Uh the guy is it’s it’s remarkable to it’s it’s unseen. We haven’t seen that in a long time. Very few teams have seen it, period. A guy that jumps out that quick makes everybody look foolish. You see the way his teammates are raving about him. They know exactly what they’re witnessing. A guy that was a third overall pick by a lot of experts was the best player in the draft. Fell right to the New York Giants. So, for me, a defensive guy that loves the defensive side of the ball, to think of and see that potential, it’s got me so excited. You look at Burns, and by the way, Brian Burns has made it very clear. He has stepped his game up this year. He’s just in the last couple days, especially at practice, a lot of people talking about Burns. You know, Burns is almost like the forgotten man because of Abdul Carter, but this guy is one of the best in the game as well. And and only now these guys are just only going to elevate each other. And I’m and I’m one of these guys that will continue to say it. I said it in my video of Critical Giants. You cannot sleep on Kavon Tibido. Another guy came into this season, off seasonason, put on more muscle, best shape of his life, seems to be extremely focused. You know, that’s again, these guys are feeding off one another. It’s got that vibe. It’s got that NASCAR vibe that the Giants are used to. The pass rush up front setting the tone for the entire team. Not just the defense, but the entire team. Dexter Lawrence, you got the best and one of the best players overall, period, in the National Football League, anchoring that entire thing up front. Okay, you put that guy and then you surround him with these guys who each one of them are, you know, a top guy at their position. That’s crazy to think that we have that on this defense right now in a pass rush like that. Let’s let’s just be honest. You get a pass rush like that, it changes the entire dynamic of the game. This defense is a defense that if if the Giants get a lead on somebody, it’s going to be hard for for offenses to overcome that. That’s why I said even in the the championship years, the Giants, the the best part of the defense was obviously the front. And I’m not saying that the secondary was lackluster, but compared to what the Giants had up front, it was nowhere near it, but it didn’t have to be. It didn’t it didn’t have to be remotely on the same level because of what that front could do. Not only did the Giants have an incredible, and I, in my opinion, obviously biased as hell, the best front in the National Football League, but they got incredibly solid and gifted linebackers. O’ Carrick McFaden already playing his ass off. The guy needs to be resigned already. But you got, you know, these heat sinking missiles, these linebackers that just where where’s the ball? Boom, they’re on it. And again, and reminds me when the Giants had those years to back up that off that defensive front, you had a guy like, you know, Antonio Pierce, you had a very solid linebacker unit and we have that now. Giants defense up front on paper should be able to compete with anybody. I don’t care how much you hate the Giants or how pessimistic you might be. That is a unbelievable front from the New York Football Giants. And then of course to round out that defense, you had the secondary. And going into this off season, I know I’ve talked about it, a lot of people have talked about it. It’s going to really Deontay Banks is going to determine a lot. You bring in guys like Javon Holland and Adbo and the these guys are already, you know, top 10, top 15, whatever at their position. Solid guys at their position. Immediate upgrades. Giants now have a number one corner. And that battle between Cordell Flot and Deontay Banks. And then you got Drew Phillips who might be the best overall period. You got a guy like that coming into his second year. And I believe in Banks. I know that a lot of people get on him and they should rightfully so. The guy has trouble turning his head around when he needs to. But he shows so much that instinct, that instinct to be a aggressive corner on the outside. I like the fact that him and Flot, and I’m a fan of Flot. I like the fact that that’s iron sharpening iron. I like the fact that they’re having a camp. Flock got hurt for a little bit, came back, now they’re both on the field. So to me, you know, if Banks can be that guy, and I believe in him, and these guys can get the best out of each other, you have very very solid corners between Adibbo, Drew Phillips, Flot, and and Deontay Banks. And Tyler Nuben might be the most underrated out of everybody in the secondary. Now he gets joined by Javon Holland. two very very good safeties, the Giants, because the front is so good. I think people are sleeping on the fact that the back end is pretty damn good. Of course, we’ll see how Shane Bowen uses these guys and uses the defense here in his second year, but I like every aspect of that defense. I I really do. The only issue to me might be depth. If one or two guys go down, that’s where you might, you know, experience an issue in depthwise. from the New York Giants defense on the secondary. But for me, I look at it on paper, I see playmakers all over the field. I see the defense as obviously being the strong point of the entire team. It will carry that defense and it will carry the Giants through that portion of the tough portion of the schedule. If the offense can stay healthy, this team, they’re going to have to score obviously more than 20 points a game, but you know, healthy Giants playmakers on both sides of the ball. I’m very optimistic about where this team goes from here on out. And then before I forget, because you know, you run down, you forget that the fact is that we had a huge question mark. I’ve brought this up. Critical giant Graham Gennó, I have to say, hats off to this guy. Came back after missing the last couple years, you know, having his season cut short. Big question mark going into the offseason, going into camp. shows up into the Buffalo game and just nails 350 plus yards. Mid-season form, looks ready as hell and looks completely healthy. So, I special teams to me is is again, we saw the importance of what it’s like to not have a kicker that you have confidence in and that you can rely on. Graham Gnau has to stay healthy and that’s going to be you know look that’s the issue with a lot of these guys the playmakers on both sides of the ball Graham Gnau special teams health is obviously the major portion but right now optimism should be high because you break it down and there’s so much to be positive about. Yes, there’s not been a snap in regular season but you can feel it. You’re a Giants fan right now. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been a Giants fan. You can feel something’s different. The vibe, the culture, whatever you want to call it, is different. And it’s not just because it’s not September yet and the season isn’t over because the leaves have changed yet. There is something different about the New York Giants. So, we got two games left. At this point, as I’m recording this, we’re 25 days to kickoff and everything’s going to get real. There’s roster cuts. So, we got, you know, we get down to the 53man roster and there will be some surprises. Not going to say there’s not going to be guys that we’ve talked about today that we’ll be thinking, “Wow, I can’t believe they got cut or they actually made the team.” But if you’re a Giants fan sitting here middle of August, you should be really high on the potential of this team going forward. You’re in good hands. Dable’s an excellent coach. Joe Shane had an outstanding draft. Now it’s got to translate to the field. So, I wanted to check in the pulse. Uh, let you guys know what I’m thinking right now as it’s getting near the end of the summer and the start of the season. If you’re a longtime fan, of course, of this channel, you obviously have been waiting for the bread and butter of this channel, which is you’ve been waiting for the hype videos. As you know, the hype videos usually come out close to kickoff. So, to if you’re still listening to this podcast, by the way, thank you. But, uh, make sure you like and subscribe. This helps out the channel tremendously. I don’t want everybody to know I’m doing this now full time, so you’re going to see a lot more content, um, out of me for the whole entire season, but the format’s going to stay the same. I don’t like to drop the hype videos, you know, too far away from kickoff because it kind of loses the effect. So, I like to keep it close. So, you will see the first hype video closer we get to week one. Obviously, I will let you guys know every bit of it on the way. I can’t thank you enough to allow me to have a platform uh since 2011 to do this for you guys and Giants fans all over the world. It is an honor. every season I come back to do this and but right now just being perfectly honest this feels like something the beginnings at least the start of something special. So I hope your optimism is high. I hope you believe the New York Football Giants. We have a huge season ahead of us and we got a lot to talk about. Stay here of course YouTube Mr. Chuck Knox Facebook Mr. Chuck Knox up there all the time all day long. And if you want to follow me on Instagram and Twitter, Chucknox, where it’s all day long, Giants material coming out every single day. Thank you once again, and I will be back real soon.

  1. Thank you guys for watching. This is the most excited I have been about this team in a decade. Let me know what you think. We're BACK!

  2. every year i get the offseason false hope, and then it crashes and burns. but this year the hope felt different, i wasn't sure if i was lying to myself, but i'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks this feels different.

  3. Our offensive line !!!! How many Fing years does it take for people to realize with a great offensive line the rest of the team plays better. I been a giant fan for over 58 years!!! Watch Fran T. Get beat up. Russell Wilson isn’t gonna run. Give him time! We also need to look for a good coach Dumball is only a coordinator!!!

  4. It's really this simple. If Wilson plays like shit and we lose games then Dart will play. If Wilson plays good and we win games then Dart won't play.

  5. Enjoyed the show. Anyone who thinks Jaxson will be sitting at the end of this season is either not paying attention or doesn’t know a star QB when they see one. I said before the draft he would not be there in round 2 and I’ve said he will be the starter this year before he went on the practice field. He’s not just an elite talent, he’s a star.

  6. The bust rate for qbs is sky high because of this idea they need to start week 1.

Ideal situation is russ plays well and pulls a hammy mid way through. Dart starts and we never look back

  7. yo Chuck your main picture of your video … with the Giants logo and the players all around it … can you send me that by chance ? i want to have it made into a perforated picture for the back window of my car… hit me up if you can .. ty in advance

  8. I appreciate your videos bro, and I'm excited about this team this season being competitive and playing Giants football. It's about Damn time we're set up for the future at the most important positions especially QB. Big fan of Dart and all the other rookies and 2nd & 3rd year players now showing promise. Go Giants

  9. We played beautiful football 35 points against a top 5 team the bills!! It's preseason but this is huge

  10. I got faith these guys can knock off these big teams. IF the offense is smart with the football and not forcing picks… our defense is top! As long as banks don't get torched by a wr2 then we gooood! All eyes on us

  11. KEEP DART ON THE BENCH ALL OF 2025!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we cant ruin this kids confidence by throwing him to the wolves with our suspect (but improving) Oline. this is nothing but a stop gap year for the Giants. we paid Russ $20 Million to be a starter so let him ride out the season. next off season draft and sign more Oline depth and more weapons for Dart. Mara gave Daboll and Shoen a 2 year window to prove themselves and this is year one. don't rush something that can be great by being impatient. Love Dart and Carter and excited for the future of football in East Rutherford.

  12. Geez, I want to believe, but it seems like you hadn't watched the same team I saw the past few years.

  13. The Giants are known for over performing what Vegas and the NFL predicts them to be.
    • 2005 → O/U 6.5, finished 11–5 (division title).
    • 2007 → O/U 8.0, finished 10–6 and went on to win the Super Bowl.
    • 2008 → O/U 8.5, finished 12–4 (best NFC record).
    • 2010 → O/U 9.0, finished 10–6.
    • 2016 → O/U 8.5, finished 11–5, Wild Card berth.
    • 2022 → O/U 7.0, finished 9–7–1, playoff win.

These are clear examples of the Giants blowing past Vegas’s expectations.
