Hugh Foley might lament Mother Nature as inclement weather put paid to a potential final day charge at the Hauts de France-Pas de Calais Golf Open on the Alps Tour.

Foley, seeking his maiden professional victory was tied for the lead before round two was suspended. He returned on Saturday to complete his last seven holes and carded six bogeys and a now costly bogey on the par-5 14th.

The Royal Dubliner was forced to settle for a a round of 69 and he wouldn’t return to the course and his two-under total was one shy of winner Quentin Debove of France.

Adverse weather heavily impacted the tournament schedule. Play was first suspended on Friday at 2:24 p.m. due to heavy rain and flooded greens. It resumed at 4:30 p.m. and continued until 8:08 p.m., when it was halted due to darkness. Round 2 was completed this morning with play resuming at 8:00 a.m. local time.

Round 3 officially began at 11:15 a.m. as a shotgun start but was suspended at 12:51 p.m. due to inclement weather. After thorough consideration, and taking into account the course conditions, continued weather issues, and limited daylight, the Tournament Committee made the decision to cancel Round 3 and reduce the event to 36 holes.

The €42,500 prize fund will be awarded in full, while Order of Merit points will be reduced by 90% in accordance with Alps Tour regulations.

At the conclusion of the 2025 Hauts de France–Pas de Calais Golf Open, Spain’s Javier Barcos remains at the top of the current Alps Tour Order of Merit standings.
