The Mizzou men’s golf team continues its early season trip up North, competing at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational, beginning Sunday morning in Foot’s Bay, Ontario.

 

TOURNAMENT INFO

The Canadian Collegiate Invitational begins on Sunday with three-straight days of 18 holes of play, wrapping up on Tuesday. Mizzou is set to tee off at 9:50 a.m. CT.

 

COURSE OVERVIEW

The tournament is slated for Öviinbyrd Golf Club – a par-72 course that measures 7,157 yards in length. It is one of Canada’s premier golf courses, designed by Thomas McBroom and opened in 2004.

 

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION

The Tigers are one of 11 schools competing this week, joined by British Columbia, George Mason, Kent State, Miami (Ohio), Michigan, Michigan State, UNC Wilmington, Notre Dame, Penn State and Rutgers.

 

LAST YEAR IN CANADA

The Tigers finished second last season in Canada with a team score of -12. In his first tournament in the Black & Gold, Veikka Viskari led Mizzou with a top-five finish, carding an eight-under 208 (69-67-72).

 

SEASON OPENER AT MICHIGAN

The Tigers opened the 2025-26 season at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Michigan last week. Mizzou finished with two strong days of play to place sixth overall as a team (ahead of preseason No. 9 Florida State). Viskari also led Mizzou by placing seventh as an individual, posting the low round of the tournament and a career-best score of 66 during the final 18 holes of play.
