What’s up y’all? It’s Golf with Mark. I’m out here with Coulson McNolte. The match is even. We’re playing a $10 two down autos, but it’s been kind of just a pillow fight. Before you do anything, subscribe. You’ll never make a double bogey ever again. Sit back, relax, grab your popcorn. It’s going to be an amazing match down the stretch here. We got $10 on the line. 20. Could be 20. Anyways, all right. Um I don’t know why I have driver. So 16 par4 Patriots winds kind of coming off the right. This hole is sneaky tough. Um had a lot of content on this. You’ve probably seen Ricky Miller’s famous blow up on this hole. Um but anything can happen. It’s a lot wider out there than you think, but it’s tough. So going to pull a hybrid here. He’s cutting down the right side. Going to catch the right rough. Healy. Yeah, it’s a good angle from there. That’s fine, though. Again, it’s just you want it just to be dry. Just to be dry. Don’t go left. All right, I’m going to take a little more aggressive play here. You know, all square three to go. You got to kind of make a statement. And what a better time than now. So, we’re going to take a 3-wood, get it on down there pretty good. You know, raise the tea, though, because I topped this a couple days ago. So, all right, let’s go here. And that’s a bolt that we’ve gotten. It is awfully dry out here. And it could completely run out the end of the fairway. That’s smashed. It’s headed left. God. Hang on. Oh yeah. Oh, I said I’m a plus 2.3 and I can’t be, you know, topping a 3wood, so you know. So, um, you’re caddyy at the seek the seek and river Kio Island Club. Are you what they call a looper? You know, man, I love the looper life. Um, you know, you can go down the train too long. I’m going to try and stay on the train for like a year or two. Been doing it ever since I was a kid. Just, you know, good. good role model of mine, Danny Saul, shout out he uh caddies for Cory Connors on the PJ tour. What I love about Caddies, the Caddies that really love it is they just love the deepest parts of the game. Understanding everything, how to hit shots, how to play different lies, what the wind does, everything. And uh just helps my golf game and I just love constantly trying to understand this game. And uh yeah, we’ll see where it goes. You just cattied for uh chairman Fred Ridley. Yeah, chairman of the National. Um, great guy. Didn’t tell me, you know, who he was. He needed no introduction. And, uh, played from the tips, nine holes, and shot 38. Pretty solid. He’s a baller, man. USM champ. What was that? Kasique. Yeah, front nine at Kasique. Man, I I had one screw up, though. Gave him a kind of a too aggressive line on a par on a par4 number three for all you have played Kasique out there. And he ended up in the doom bunker, made bogey. So, one of those bogeies that he made was my fault. Was he um so pretty chill though? Like you kind of think of August though. I feel like you think pretentious sometimes. Yeah. No, no, he took a phone call on the range. He’s very respectful to whoever he was talking about. I knew that they were talking about Augusta National. Don’t know what it was about though. Um great guy. Don’t say too much, dude. They’ll they’ll pay. I got Yeah, I’ll get I’m done with that right back to golf here. Yeah. You know, 130 coming in off the wind’s off the left and this might be a little too much club, but with this lie, I can’t swing at something hard. So, going to choke a pitching wedge. A little punch cut in there. Let the wind take it. Beautiful out here. [Music] How about that, Mark? It’s going left. How about that? Sit. I’m I’m going down there to play it. I don’t care where it’s at. All right. I saw it. I don’t want to drive. There it is. Okay. Boom. Cool. All right. All right. I’m going to I heard off a left. 146. That What was the number? 146. Yeah, it’s a 48 from here. Pretty good lie. I’m going to play a little punch. Nine iron. Coulson may or may not be in the hazard of this match play. So, anything on the green works well. I should be getting a stroke hand, but I don’t know. It plays a lot better than his handicap. I think I’m actually at plus 0.8 right now. So, all right. Well, should only be half a shot. I’ll give you your half a shot here. [Music] Got a challen cases. Caddy knows it. I’m taking it right at that palm tree. I’m just just making sure it’s the nine. All right, reset here. It’s a flyer lie. Punched off. Neil would be proud. Go. Pretty looking golf shot. Got to get up. Get up. Got to go so hard. Go. Hey, bunker. I don’t know. I didn’t see any sand. We’ll see. Stay tuned. Two whatifs and the lies. So, actually, no cap. How did you meet uh Danny? So, Connor’s caddy. Yeah. So, um I was working here in the winter at one time and there’s like two or three groups out on the course all day. So, I was driving around. I saw him out there with uh I think it’s his nephew. Anyways, um so I just didn’t know who he was and when I went back in the pro shop um someone who was working told me who you know who it was and I was like, “Oh wow, that’s pretty cool.” So I talked to him a little bit after. We didn’t talk much and then um randomly a couple months later I was talking to him about caddying and uh you know you can resonate on all levels, right? It’s it’s the loop or life if you want to call it. Um and yeah, we just think the same way on a lot of shots and it’s fun. We played a lot of golf. Had some good matches. Um I don’t know how I’ve won a couple cuz just he’s a good player. Oh, he stripes it. All right. Thankfully did not end up in a footprint. Straight for bunk shot here. Plenty of green short of it. Got a dunking run here. No, that face is wide open. Just like that. No. All right. You see it there? All right. Not bad. Yep. Do I rake or not? Always rake. Right. Always rake. Respect the course no matter the conditions. Yeah. Look at Adrian’s point is back that’s raked all day. Yeah. Only one who’s raked all day. We got to make up for these people. Honestly, check out this rake job here. We’re going to do the whole thing. Take him like 30 minutes. This is how you rake a bunker, everybody. Yeah. Push or pull? Uh, got to pull then push. Pull all the excess sand back then push away. Yep. Like that. Yep. And then push away. Yep. Upward motion. Ah. Yeah. That way it doesn’t leave any like wrinkles. One of my buddies actually caddied for Dustin Johnson. Oh, really? Oh, I know. We played golf there. Remember that? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And um he was doing like the old MUN rig. His arm just started falling off. Yeah. And DJ actually made him like go back and rerake it. He was like, “Dude, like you can’t rake a bunker like that. Like this is the PGA tour.” And um DJ’s mom used to call my buddy the Happy Caddy. Um cuz dude’s out there. He’s basically like a guy like you or me. Yeah. On tour taking care of Dustin Johnson, you know? That’s that’s a good life. What a quality job there. All right, I’m exhausted after that. Oh, we got, you know, no stone left unturned or whatever they say. You’re dude, you’re in good shape. Yeah. Yeah, we’ll see. All right, so I don’t know what golf ball this is. I got it. All right. See here. So, we’ve got action. Not much green to work with. I don’t really like playing bump and runs. So, let’s take this up in the air. Downgrain lies, so that helps. [Music] Oh. Oh, it just sacked. Little cut. Little too much cut, spin. Yeah. All right. Question is, I am away. All right. I think you are away. Yeah. This is where boys become men. All right. You can really create a statement. Like I said on the tea before I almost hit my 3-wood into the hazard. You make a statement early just changes the dynamic. He can’t put the pressure on me. I’m Yeah, Mark doesn’t feel pressure. Actually, he just thrives off. That’s true. What a punt. Bang. Hey. All right. Green just yanked that. Huh. All right. This is the tire. [Music] Let’s go. I knew it. I didn’t expect anything less. Can’t script it any better. All square to go. Great par on your know, dude. Good to go. Yeah, from over there. Scrambling. Was a little Coulson will probably disagree with me, but he learned how to scramble from the best. I mean, no, listen, you know, when you’re playing a match, dude, and you’re not chipping in against Mark Stalluth, you’re going to lose. So, you either adapt or you lose. So, I just had to learn how to adapt. Um, Coulson, I think one of my favorite quotes from you is when you’re like, “Dude, you hit some of the worst shots I’ve ever seen.” I’ll let you elaborate. No. So, I I said to Mark one time we’re playing, and I mean this is an as an utmost compliment. I said, “You were one of the best golfers I’ve ever seen hit some of the worst shots I’ve ever seen.” And I just I mean it from the bottom of my heart. Um 135 here. Winds off the left. Arguably a little bit of hurt, but I think it’s just a just a punch pitching wedge. Yeah, Patriots has come a long way despite what you know the Google reviews say. It is a great place.
