Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka, defending champion Billy Horschel and European Ryder Cupper Rasmus Hojgaard were the three biggest names to miss the halfway cut at the 2025 BMW PGA Championship.
The BMW PGA is the DP World Tour’s flagship event of the season.
It was also a week to forget for Hojgaard’s twin Nicolai, who finished well down the board.
England’s Tommy Fleetwood birdied the par-5 18th from eight feet to make the cut on the number at 2-under par.
Fleetwood’s putt was greeted with huge cheers by the home fans at Wentworth.

At the top of the board, Hideki Matsuyama finds himself at 12-under par, one shot ahead of Ryder Cup players Viktor Hovland, Ludvig Aberg and Justin Rose.
Others have not been so fortunate.
Let’s take a look at the biggest names to miss the cut at the BMW PGA…
Brooks Koepka -1
Another missed cut for the five-time major champion and LIV Golf star.

What is going on with Koepka?
He opened with a disastrous 75 and despite fighting back with a respectable 68, Koepka missed the cut by a shot.
It wasn’t completely a wasted trip to England for Koepka though, as his Pro-Am team turned it on at least on Wednesday.
Billy Horschel -1
The defending champ tried his best to make the number but his eagle putt on 18 agonisingly missed on the right side.
Horschel carded rounds of 73 and 70 to narrowly miss the weekend.

Corey Conners -1
A rare DP World Tour visit from Canada’s Conners, but it’s going to be a short one.
Conners posted a dismal 76 on Thursday and he recovered well with a 67 on Friday but it was too little too late.
Luke Donald -1
The European Ryder Cup captain admitted he hadn’t really been working much on his game right now in light of the a certain Ryder Cup match taking place in two weeks.
Donald gave it good go this week though and came up just short of the weekend.
The Englishman carded rounds of 72 and 71.

Thriston Lawrence +2
Despite a recent second career win in Switzerland, Lawrence could only manage a pair of 73s at Wentworth.
Adrian Meronk +2
Not a good week for the giant Pole, who of course now plays his golf over on the LIV Golf League.
He opened with a shocking 77 and fared better on Friday with a 69 but he was well outside the cut mark.
Rasmus Hojgaard +5
Not a good week for the Dane who will be making his Ryder Cup debut at Bethpage this month.
Perhaps he’s already looking ahead.

Hojgaard carded poor rounds of 74 and 75 to finish well down the board.
Nicolai Hojgaard +6
His twin also had a week to forget.
Nicolai played in the 2023 Ryder Cup but narrowly missed out this time around.
It was a 78 and 72 for Nicolai.
