My first ever pro tournament was the Buick Open in 2009 – we got there and walked up behind the green of a par 5 that then lead to the next tee. John was the first group we saw. As he passed through after making a pretty normal 2-putt, I said “let’s go John!” Or something to that effect as he passed by and I reached my hand out for a five from him. He glared and was generally an asshole. Found out later we just watched him two putt for a 10.
