JJ Spawn second shot at 13. Craig Perz welcoming in Steve Scott. Good morning, Steve. How you doing, sir? I’m doing great. And these guys are looking like they’re scoring. Hello. Look at this one. He was way off with the club. What you looking to accomplish? Second here for Kevin Roy who had a real nice season, Craig. He got himself in contention a bunch of times with shots like that. It’s coming. You can do things with a golf ball that I can’t do. Yeah, you and everybody else on the planet. Dre. 15 ft for birdie here for Ben Griffin to get within one. This man, he has dominated par five as we showed a graphic yesterday. It’s third. This is the slope I was talking about. Well, you called both shots perfectly, Andre. There’s another one. I mean that that hole could be a symbol Dre and that ball would go in. He’s got it going a little bit today. And that’s a beauty right there. We’re going to tack on another birdie as he makes a turn here in line with the flag stick. Shaping it that way. This guy. Nothing to it. Nothing to it, right? Raj, he makes it look easy. This one should be safely right of it, Kurt. That’s excellent shot. Yeah, you just don’t want to miss to the left over there. It’s a tough up and down without taking a lot of risk. Almost as good as he could do. Ben Griffin for birdie at 17. H knocks in another one to get to 11 under par. Well below the surface of the green. Just didn’t quite turn over the seven seven wood like he was trying. Really high and soft. This looks really good. Perfect. What a shot. Clean lie. Just a full lob wedge here. Oh wow. Russell’s going to have some company at 12 under par. What a shot. very well here. 141 left for JJ. See if he can get it back to the hole. Yeah, there’s only about three steps behind this whole location as well. Boy, how good is that? That is very tasty right there. Sure is. And it’s going to stay on that little tier back there. That is excellent. This was just down the hill. Very little movement, but the speed was much. So Cameron continues his excellent putt. Look at that string of four birdies in a row. This is for Eagle and just to get to seven under and within five off the lead, Rico Hoey. He’s uh been in contention a few times over the last uh year and a half or so. Exactly what he might do, but this is a swinger right to left and running away from him as it breaks left. Perfect. Look at this guy. He makes the bogey. Comes right back with a birdie to grab a share of the lead with Ben. Left bunker by about 6 yds. 187 playing four uphill. That’s a seven iron. Very aggressive. Oh, the aggressiveness pays off. He was asking for it to be good and he knew it was on on a good line. That is a confident golfer right there. Projected to be 132 in the rankings. Of course, the top 100 after the FedEx Cup fall or exempt for next season. And a good shot from Sheamus Power. That will help. Just a moment ago on the wrong side of the cart path is Justin Thomas. But but he had a great angle, not a great lie. But this was something special. Was it ever much needed too from Justin. What a great kick off the back side of that bunker. Luke list a moment ago from the thick rough. That’s his third at the par five and he rattles it in for an Eagle three. Boy, that’s helpful. Well, it gets him from one under to three under and away from that cut line a little bit with a wedge in his hand. Can attack that attack he did. What a shot. Boy, you just Justin Thomas with a birdie attempt here. Kept his head really still on that one. And this guy just doesn’t throw in the towel, does he? Buddy for birdie at eight. Still uphill and slow. There you go. This is what he does. He’s not particularly playing great curve and he’s hanging around the back stop. Oh, good shot right here. Getting better. Okay, that’s what Pat and Kazy needs right there. That very difficult back left hole location. actually have to nearly work it around some overhanging trees. Protect the left side of this green. Gorgeous shot. Good lord. Haven’t seen one that good all day. Kazire from over the back here at eight. One you could pitch in. Get it cleanly. Just release it down the slope. How about that? That’ll help. Highmith tapped in for birdie as well. So all three guys in that group able to birdie eight. Seven. Oh, that is incredible. I was just about to say this is the second most difficult hole on the golf course. A special one with a hole in one there. Beautiful little cut. 198 yds. It plays uphill. Nice swing. And he hits some quality iron shots. Nice shot, Max. And uh the discipline to stay present. End up winning by five, which is a tournament record. See if Patia can get things back in gear. He’s bogey two of the last four holes. Yeah, it’s lucky he didn’t sneak in that bunker. And beautiful shot. The path five and three. So this is fourth from about 45 ft. slide to his right. Go in. There we go. Okay. Patton Kazire. But up until the pin, it is sloped into these guys. So, trying to take off a little bit of spin and control it and hop stop. There we go. And just split the right edge. Well, it was a good save on the previous old par and a nice birdie. Right. Going to cozy this one down there and get one to drop. Oh yes, Garrick Higgo. And the second shot for Jackson Coy after a 331 yd drive just 238 into this par five and that he hit that thing to the moon. Will it stay very similar to what Max did from over the back of the green at 15. Had a reasonable lie. must had a much better lie than Max Homa did earlier from back there. This is a birdie putt. Plenty of these last week at Cypress Point during the Walker Cup and he’s making plenty of them this week. This is our leaderboard very late on this Friday. Ben Griffin and Russell Henley at the top and Jackson Quinn has joined Henley in that tie for second. Yeah, it’s going to be a fun a fun weekend. It’s going to be to see how these players go and and navigate this golf course. And so many different types of players can win. Ben Griffin though, right at the top. He is playing some excellent golf, putting the ball in play. No bogeies. Thanks for watching the PGA Tour. To watch more, click here. To subscribe, click here.
