The players are human. Now, after a week, with absence of Stokes and Archer from 5th test, it does suggest that they were pretty much ducked up bowling those 140 overs.
Secondly, they were frustrated the way Washington, hit Stokes for a 6 and than 4, to reach his 50.
English never expected India to fight back, leave alone score few centuries and draw the match. That’s hard for any human to digest.
Thirdly the gentlemen era for Alistair Cook, is long gone. This is era of guys who get tired, but can’t hide their tiredness, who get frustrated, but can’t hide or live with their frustration.
4th and last, it’s era of drama and cricket, who knows it’s more money for them, if it’s cricket mixed with a sprinkling of drama.
