Well, I was on the couch watching watching Fred play and uh I think he birdie like five holes in a row in the front nine and then I think hard 10 or something like that and then he just got hot. Five in a row for Fred Couples. 13 under two shot lead making the turn. Freddy and I and JT are on a group text. I just you know texted him, you know, I you know are you watching this? I I want to say it was the Bills and Chiefs that were playing and I was so excited to watch this game and um it was just starting and and kind of going on and and Tiger text me. He’s like, “Are you watching this?” I was like, “Yeah, I know. I’m pumped for this game.” He’s like, “No.” He’s like, “Freddy, it’s not about that that football game that you’re watching. Take a look at our old man here.” And I just like panned over and looked at the scores. I’m like, “Oh my gosh.” And we’re texting in our group text uh that we’re in with with Freddy as well, just, you know, what was going on, man. Another birdie. Another birdie. Another birdie. Birdie number 11. Yeah. Hi, I’m Fred Couples. I make birdies in bunches. You know, watch those last two holes and and stuff it in there. Birdie, I’m 18 and we’re going nuts. And then, you know, whatever, 45 minutes later, Freddy’s just like, you know, I could be YouTube if I’m playing like this kind of thing. So, it was cool. I got chime in with Joey and Joey says, “Where the hell was that 30 years ago?” You know, so it was it was fun for all of us. we were all, you know, badgering Fred and um and also just so proud of him. Um I mean he’s of anyone who deserves to win, you know, at at a late stage in life, it’s his Fred. For me, the Fred that I grew up playing against and playing with as my partner in the President’s Cup.
