It really happened, still can’t believe it… on our last hole, at a work event that I wasn’t even supposed to play, at one of the most beautiful courses I’ll ever see (Pelican Hill).

Four man scramble hitting second on a par three. Was ripping the rented driver all day (I need a Qi35!) so commented to one of the players in our group I wished we had a par 4 so I could get one more smack with it.

Was just thinking it’s been a great day, looking forward to finishing, let’s just put it near the pin. 120-130 out, downhill – hit an8 iron. Ball came off left and kicked right off a slope, around the back of the green going..going…going.

There’s no way that’s in, used someone’s viewfinder and still saw ball, ok 2 inch putt, sick, better luck next time.

As we pull up a groundskeeper was driving by ‘WHOS BALL IS THAT? WHOS BALL IS THAT?? YOU JUST GOT A HOLE IN ONE BUDDY!’

Celebrations ensued as you can imagine. Work event with a free bar, didn’t even have to buy anyone a round!

    Best part is there were witnesses. I’ve never had an ace but I have a 200 yard slam dunk for eagle on a par 4 after a crap drive but was playing solo so is just a mere bs story to my regular buddies haha.

    I am 71. This past Tuesday I was hitting driver on a par 3 138 to the hole. I hit it right of the flag. It took a bounce, went right into the water. Someone yelled a HOLE IN ONE INTO THE WATER! Geez that hurt.
