FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The CSUN Men’s Golf team opened the 2025-26 season Thursday and is 14th through two rounds of the Ram Masters Invitational at Fort Collins Country Club.

The Matadors are being led by sophomore Bryson Barnes, who is tied for 53rd at 9-over 149. Barnes, who had four birdies in the first two rounds, opened with a 2-over 72 in the first round before finishing round two at 7-over 77. 

As a team, CSUN carded rounds of 292-310 and is 14th in the 16-team field at 42-over 602.

Junior Liam Judkins had a team-high six birdies over the first two rounds, finishing round one at 2-over 72 before slipping to 6-over 78 in round two. Judkins is currently tied for 57th at 10-over 150.
Domenic De Luca had three birdies, two coming in round one, and is tied with teammate Tavin Boman for 80th at 15-over 155. De Luca posted rounds of 74-81, while Boman finished with rounds of 81-74.
Sophomore Nick Fry rounded out the CSUN scoring as he is tied for 87th at 17-over 157 following rounds of 74-83.

HEAD COACH JIM BRACKEN SAID

“We’ve been playing much better in qualifying, so round two today was very disappointing. The conditions were a little tougher in the second round, but all these guys have a year under their belt, so I hope this is the high round we have this year.”

CSUN will be paired with Wichita State for Friday’s final round, which gets underway with Fry leading the Matadors off at 17:48 a.m.
