The intersection of golf and culture.
Behind every drained putt or hosel rocket into the stands is a human being with complex emotions—among them, an insatiable appetite for golf. That’s what we’re after. Golf’s humanity is what makes it so special to us. There have never been more reasons to love this game, and we’re endeavoring to explore them all.

I don’t know if you know this about the Walker Cup, but they have to have a midam on the team. We’re going to do our little segment called Overheard from Jay Lab. And so is a midam basically an old person that’s won uh an amateur event. Well, yes. So the USA like their elite midam has been this guy Stuart Hagistat for many many years and he’s multi-time midam champion. So, he’s been kind of our guy. And so, our um head of our finance team is this awesome dude named Vinnie Gabrieli. And we were talking this morning about is it better to be a midm guy like Stuart Hagistan. Okay. Or like a kind of mid to bottom tier PGA Tour player. Oh. And so, of course, within like 12 hours, he has a whole spreadsheet he’s ready to share with us. So, uh welcome to the Venny Index podcast’s pro shop set of finance. Vinnie Gabrielli. How you doing, Vinnie? I’m good. Good. Thanks for having me. Love the show. No one paid me to say that technically, but happy to be here. It really does matter like not only like how obviously how you place and what the purse is, but it kind of matters where you win too because based on these different jurisdictions across the country, like the tax impact to some of these guys are pretty big, right? Like I used Harry Higs as kind of like our example. So, I took his schedule for 2025 and I just took the uh events that he played in where he made the cut and actually received earnings, right? So, those were 12 events uh throughout the year. What what this whole thing kind of said to me is that, you know, with Harry getting around 840,000 of earnings on the tour in 2025, you know, he ended up keeping 30% of that. What’s the end number for him? The end number is in the blue column. It’s roughly 238,000. Feel like you might end up better off as Steuart Hagistad. Did you break down a midM? So, I didn’t break down a mid. I I kind of focused on the tour player. You could be sitting there at LACC. Yeah. Closing deals, getting your getting your little rip on the big business deals you’re bringing through and you’re the best golfer in the firm and you know, and then you get to go play the Masters and you go play the Walker Cup at Cypress Point. I mean, Stewie’s got the life. I think. Yeah, I think I’d rather be a mid AM than to be Harry Higs. I guess from the lab to the course, JAB Tech is trusted by the pros with gears engineered in the lab, built for every practice, every flight, and every moment you need to lock in. We use um all the JAB products and Jab delivers headphones, earbuds, and Bluetooth speakers designed for life and that respects your budget, which is important. Look for the blue box at retailers everywhere or shop jlab.com.

Skratch.. how long will it take for you to realize no one likes or watches content with this Netflix douchebag?
Honestly, look at any clips featuring this guy and then compare it to other skratch content.
It underperforms (bigly) because he is profoundly unlikable.
