[Music] the P salango Masters is the right place to start with the players receiving Malaysian Hospitality right from the get-go it sets the right tone for the year as well with such a massive price purse so we’re extremely pleased to be here the salango Masters it’s got a long history with the Asian tour dating back to [Music] 2008 pkns fortunately brought the event back to life in 2022 under the Asian development tour umbrella so we’re extremely happy to have such a strong partner revive such an important event for us the slango Masters is in its 12 Edition uh in it has been held here inang I think eight times having people like Ken you know been working together with us we have good partnership we have good relationship and I hope it will go beyond that 2025 should be a incredible year for us pkns is starting it on the right foot with 200,000 price Pur event it’s the second largest that we have on on tour the slango Masters is actually a state event and we act as a promoter and we work with the asan go so this is the first event for a year and it will be groundbreaking for year 2025 this year 2025 we announced this is visit slango year to promote slango as a sports and Tourism Center in Malaysia and in the region and in the world we is a government agency that build houses uh for the community and our role is actually uh to manage golf courses and eventually we have in mind to manage golf courses that’s owned by the government the state government uh but at present we have this club golle so we are the bridge between local tour local Association um to the Asian tour which is the dream that they’re all chasing I’m Lua chanti I’m From Italy my name is Kim Lun kuang I’m Malaysian my name is Sam broadhurst uh I’m from the UK I got the car from the Q school for the ad so I’m quite happy to play around here the weather is cool it’s fantastic back home is too cold so I’m happy to be here I’ve always been interested in traveling over here and playing over here and a couple of my mates Ben Jones and Sam Rook played last year ADT you know they seem to love it and uh thought why not let’s see see what it’s about the Asian development tour is also a platform where players who possibly hadn’t done so well on the main tour um and lost their tour car have the opportunity to regain their confidence and rebuild their careers via the development tour my name is Sharif arifan I from Malaysia I play under 8 because last year I lost my card I need to Target my uh asan toour from here my name is Dan Lawson a couple of years ago I had a pretty full season here which got me uh last year full season in Asia unfortunately I was a bit injured trying to play back end of last year so probably be back out here most of the year I think it’s obviously a very good Pathway to the main tour which is now a pathway to live too so the um the money on the Asian tour is great and now it’s starting to boost on the ADT so um yeah looking forward to the season Anthony Kang I’m 52 years old and I’ve won on the Asian tour fortunate enough to win on the Asian tour three times but my last win came 2009 just found out today that I’m going to be playing with a 14-year-old amateur that lives in Malaysia it’s Japanese kid I hear he’s really good and I’m really looking forward to playing with him and a bit unfortunate he’s stuck with me I’m not at my best I’m Dai Hayashi from Japan and I’m 14 years old uh I live Malaysia for 5 years and this is my home course I play this event for fourth time now it’s been a great opportunity for me to represent pkns group in such a young age and I know this event is really really um big and I hope I will make a cut this event so the Asian development tour is the pathway to the to the Asian tour um from the order of Merit top the top 10 graduate onto the main tour the Asian tour has become a really nice platform for the players especially with the international series and that’s why these players are here working hard to get to that top 10 but like with that 14y old Amer 52y old myself you got different players here for various reasons but I would say 90% of the people here are looking to finish inside the top 10 on the order Merit at the end of the year that’s my goal if I keep on playing on ad that’s my main goal absolutely to get on the main tour which is asan tour I just want to improve my game and be as as steady as I can and to try and make the top 10 the aims to make the top 10 in the older and move up to Asian tour so let see how it goes 10 spots it’s quite a lot of spots but also it’s not easy so you got to play some really good [Music] golf 4 years ago the focus was to develop the local Talent um not only professionals but the elite amateurs are coming through the system we will work hand to hand with institution like universities and other sport organization to develop a young player we can see a lot of talents also we have a junior International before the tournament definitely we will continue to identify the new Talent so we hope we are contribute to their development as a golf player and a good player in future [Music] I feel really great to make a cut like first time uh in this event but um you know I’m still two back from the lead tomorrow is my third day and I want to try to keep with the lead and hopefully I can beat the lead tomorrow they are very awesome like um they give me many opportunities that’s why I’m here if there’s no pkns group um I won’t be able to complete in this event so I really appreciate their help and support sango is the most advanced economy in Malaysia by having such a tournament like this we are beyond the other states is the only tournament in Malaysia uh for the Asian tour at this level golf is one of the growing spots in the regions and also in Malaysia andang especially for the last 10 years the numbers of golf players increased and from time to time also we produce a good player to go for professional goer s Longo has an academy they’ve currently got somewhere in the region about 40 kids they’ got the elite program and the beginners and they give them tasks that they’ve got to meet within let’s say the first quarter and if they don’t achieve their goals then they move back down to the beginner stage so they’ve got a system which works really well and it’s been really effective cuz a lot of these amateurs are from [Music] them our mandate is not only to create as many playing opportunities as possible but to increase the standard of of the tournaments with larger average price purses overall providing a better venue uh is obviously important for the players P also are planning to have another golf course in cyber Valley sa Valley is nearby the airport so I think we have easy access to expatriate who comes to Malaysia the plan is to shift the clubhouse over the river on the other side of the river and if it’s happen we still make with the cus we still can organize tournament pkns has been really supportive on golf especially um around this area they are pretty much in charge of baling J and slang so they are really sportive of golf big sponsor such as PK ands is great for this kind of Tours I really like the food around here even the Players Lounge and the people are amazing so I’m happy to be here and uh thanks PS we’re extremely pleased with the PS Longo Masters 2025 they set the bar really high m a season opener with a strong price purse great course condition and fantastic Malaysian Hospitality the strength of field this week was incredibly strong we had previous order of Merit winners tournament winners and some veterans but at the same time we also had uh 11 amateurs um four of which made the cut and a really strong Malaysian contingent we’ve got so many international players from all around the region this week it’s myself we had 27 different nationalities which is which is incredible [Music] really congratulations to jid he started out four behind then he increased further to eight then he managed to catch up even more so it fell three short so congratulations to him on a on a successful [Music] [Applause] campaign T congratulations it’s his first win on the Asian development tour he’s been on the tour for 12 years now um so really pleased for him uh he’s worked hard on this game and it’s funny because he came in as an invite and the last player to get into the field so for him to do really well we’re extremely pleased for him a little bit pressure for the like f first two round because like I got the invite on this tournament I wait for like long time on the ad tournament for the win and now I just I just made it it’s very very happy

I hope our adt players will develop positive mind set while competing. Attitude and ability to keep composure during tournament is important to be truly competitive and consistent
I hope Fiji has tournaments like this coming into the country.
