Hello and welcome to Golf FM. This is another bag review. This time it’s the Titless Stay Dry, but it’s actually called Cart 14 Stay Dry if you want the official title on the ticket. I haven’t done many Titless bags. I don’t stock them as a rule. Don’t really know why to be honest. They seem quite popular and it seems a bit of a mess that I haven’t done any. So, I thought I’d get one in. I’ve sold a few bags miraculously. Not that many as I’ll prove later in this video, but I have sold some. I’ve got a little bit of room and I got this one in because I thought it’s a stalwart. It’s it’s their sort of breadandbut waterproof bag, cart bag, and it needs to be reviewed by Golf FM because how is anyone meant to make a decision if they haven’t seen a video by Golf FM about a bag? So, I thought it was only fair. I thought it was my duty. I’ve come back here after I finished my tea at night, got changed into my work clothes again. Wasn’t happy about that to be honest with you, but I thought it would just freak you out if I didn’t wear black stuff. So, there’s a sign of the commitment again. I hope you appreciate it. You can show your appreciation by subscribing and liking and all that sort of thing. Okay. Oh, yes. What I did promise I was going to do with reviews is tell you the result really early on so you didn’t have to fast forward to the end of the video. I don’t know the result of this video because I don’t know how good this is. So, I’m going to insert the result in about 2 seconds. So, like they say on TV, if you don’t want to know the score, look away now. Yeah, it’s all right. Right. So, some of you know the result, but some of you might want to know exactly why it is that and you know, stick around to see that in minute detail. So, it’s a waterproof bag. It’s £239. That’s the average price on the internet that you get. It’s not cheap, but it’s not at the very expensive end of the scale. And you’re getting a really high quality premium brand tightless for, you know, a reasonably affordable waterproof bag. But let’s see what it’s like. Now, first of all, does it have Top Trump stuff telling you weight and things like that? Yes, it’s got something. So, we’ve got a 14 top cuff. We’ve got 6.1 lb of weight in American dollars and 2.77 kg of weight in Britain. Nine pockets and one strap. I think I probably could have worked that out. Anyway, that’s pretty good. 2.7 kg. If I just check on a couple other bags that I haven’t sold yet and see what weight they are. These were the stars of a recent video. Still got them. Not even been close to selling them. 2.9 kg on the Peng waterproof. What was that? 2.77. So that’s good. Lighter. And this Wilson one is well, it was the same as that. 2.9. So it’s lighter. Yeah. Still got this one. Did a video on this. This will be an old friend to some people. What’s the weight on this? doesn’t tell you. Don’t know. I’ll try and find out and put a graphic up on the screen, but it is quite a bit heavier, but that’s a different animal altogether. That’s got the silencer top. But yeah, watch the video on that if you’re interested in that. Really good design, but we’re not doing that. So, so easily sidetracked. Stay on topic. Okay. So, what is my overall feel with this? I I’ll just just give you an overall thing. It It feels quite light. The material looks okay. If do you know what I would worry about this straight off the bat? Is is it really good quality? Is it going to last a long time? Is it in any way a family heirloom that you’re going to pass down to generations? I don’t think any waterproof bag is like that. To be honest, it’s not like a tour bag that you literally could hand down to your grandchildren. This is lightweight, waterproof, here today, gone tomorrow a wee bit. But this just has a slight feeling of how good quality is it? But we’ll see. We’ll dig into it a bit more. Right. So, always start with the top. And the top is a 14-way divider. So, you can’t get disqualified like a lot of them have 15 or you can’t put a ball picker up thing to get stuff out of water. You’ve got nowhere to put that. So, if you want that, you have to get a 15way top divider. You could fit aiming sticks in this though. You don’t need a separate one for aiming sticks. I’ll just check if it’s all the way down. Cut this out for you. Oh, I’m liking this. Well, that’s a good start. These are all individually sealed, so no clubs are hitting any other clubs. So, that is really good all the way down. Nice big putter one at the front there. Good grab handles. Nice solid feel to that. Then we look at Oh, the base. Quickly have a look at the base. So, the base looks fine. Fits on trolley. No problem. I will put it on a power trolley later just to show you that it fits fine. What else have we got on the outside? So, we’ve got a little towel strap. Feels reasonably flimsy that just cheapish plastic. Nothing. No surprise and delight. Nice features there with a we clip or anything. We easy release clip or anything. So, it’s exactly same on the other side. Not amazing with the detailing there. It’s all right. The strap looks fine. You don’t really use that. The handle looks a wee bit plasticky and not that nice in the background, but you don’t use it really, so that doesn’t matter that much. cart strap goes through the front there, but then doesn’t hide itself through underneath any of the other pockets. I’ll have a look on the trolley to see if that interferes with any pockets. I don’t think it will, to be honest. Pocket starts there and it’s kind of, you can see it’s below where any cart strap would go. Can’t live without it. Glove Velcro. It’s just a patch though. It’s not like it’s been integrated with the design in it with any great love or attention. at the moment is feeling a wee bit bog standard with some of the detailing. Right? It’s nothing that anyone’s lovingly designed or tried to do differently at all like you do get on some bags. But anyway, let’s not let’s not jump to conclusions. We’ve got pen holders in here that are really long. So, if you put the small Sharpie in, I’ll get one. Hang on a minute. So, you’re going to have to put it in with the wee hookie bit over there because if you push that all the way in, that’s never coming out again. Or well, you maybe could work it back up, but I don’t know why they make them really long because even a full Sharpie would be struggling to see out the top of that. It’s a small point and I think it’s probably doesn’t need to be worried about. I’m probably getting over critical of that. There’s two pen holders. There you go. Fine. They they work. You know, you can actually put pens and pencils in pockets though. Remember that. So, they’re not actually essential. That’s all the outside stuff. Yeah, that’s it. Right. So, we’re on to pockets now. single zip, which is what you mostly find on waterproof bags because if you have two and they come together, it leaves a gap. So, that’s okay. The zip itself is fine. There’s nothing majorly fancy about it, but it looks absolutely fine. It’s okay, but it felt like it was pulling the material a little bit. That’s what you get on waterproof bags sometimes is this feeling of it pulling and giving the material a hard time. And if you’re a bit hamfisted, you could rip stuff quite easily if you’re not careful. So, but it felt fine. It felt waterproof in there. Nothing fancy. No nice feel materials or anything, but you quite often find that in waterproof bags that it’s there’s a lot of work goes into making it waterproof and you don’t get loads and loads of little surprise and delight details all over the bag. You kind of get bog standard few pockets and get on with it. It’s waterproof. What more do you want? There are some that do a wee bit more, but sometimes the price goes up because of that. That pocket’s fine. reasonably big and easy to get into and it’s decent. It’s fine. And this one, this is tightless. Huge, big, deep insulated pocket. It’s not a roast chicken pocket, so don’t get excited about that. It’s a huge amount of space in there. Can you see how many bottles you can get in there? So, this is useful. Oh, is it three? That’s three bottles of Coke is starting to struggle a wee bit. I mean, it looks massive. I can get them in. I’m not getting a fourth one. I’m going to rip this. I’m going to rip this. I’m going have to send it back before I’ve sold it. So, you get three bottles in there and then maybe like some Mars bars as well. So, you know, if you’ve got a wee bit of a hangover, if you’ve had a rough night the night before, you’re on a golf trip and you’ve overdone it, then you’re getting three bottles of fizzy drinks in there to try and help you get through the round. Okay. And it is keeping them cold because it really does look like a fridge. I mean, it really does. It’s really bright. It’s almost it’s got a light in there. It hasn’t got a light, but it’s it’s that bright in there. You know, if you’ve just run a marathon and you’re you’re getting sort of hypothermia, you get people get hypothermia at the end of marathons and have to get that sort of material towels around them. Well, there’s a wee bit there. If you ever get like that, you could maybe rip the bag up and use it for that. It’s not enough. It’s not enough. So, forget that. It’s a silly idea. Okay. So, that pocket’s absolutely fine. It’s good for the drinks, but also would do for loads of golf balls as well. I don’t think you need as much in the way of insulation as that, but the opening’s fine for everything apart from a roast chicken. Let’s leave it at that. Okay. So, then we’ve got this pocket at the front, which again opens fine and works absolutely fine and looks fine. I’m actually getting slightly bored of this. This is boring me, this bag. It’s good. It’s absolutely fine. But it’s like I can’t get excited about this at the moment. It just doesn’t feel like there’s going to be anything out of the ordinary. And that’s fine. That’s fine. But, you know, you get used to sort of looking forward to reviewing bags when you do my job. And if you just get like a bog standard thing tossed in front of you, then you know it’s not that exciting. And you know, and it’s you can tell my voice that I’m not excited. But let’s see. We haven’t finished yet. So, we might get something. Okay. So, we’ve got the main pockets. Sorry, I missed this. We’ve got two net things at the side. Oh, so extra couple of bottles of Coke in there. So, that was five bottles of Coke. So, if you’ve really gone to town on the night before, then you’re potentially taking five bottles. Three cold, two get them down you quite quick while there’s still a little bit chill in them. And then you’ve got three keeping cool in there. sort of struggling for stuff to say to be honest with this. Anyway, let’s go on with this one. So, we’ve got the full big clothing pocket. That’s the hood. We’ll do that in a minute. Not looking forward to doing that cuz it just feels like it’ll just be normal. There’s a little zip to get into the bottom of your bag, which virtually every bag has. So don’t forget that if you drop down something down the bottom, remember you can go in the side pocket and potentially get your hand down the bottom rather than taking everything out, zipping all the pockets up and tipping it up and down in the back garden until stuff falls out. A good pocket and doesn’t feel tight when you open it to be fair to it. So for a bag that initially feels like it might have that tight rippy feeling, it doesn’t on the main pocket. It feels solid. It feels big. And I like that pocket. It’s absolutely fine. There’s nothing inside it. No extra we nets or anything like that, but does feel like it’s going to be waterproof. A good feeling zips as well. These zips are quite interesting. Suppose this is about the most interesting thing I’ve seen on this bag. These zips here are sort of positioned over the top of this flap. So, I don’t know why that is because it’s almost like it say, well, look, that’s keeping the zip fully up and completely waterproof and no water is getting in there. Well, what about all the other zips? So, is this the one if you put your phone and your wallet in so that if you get really angry and throw your bag in a lake or the sea and you regret it, your phone and your wallet aren’t getting completely wrecked by the water cuz that is fully submersible, that pocket. I don’t know. I don’t know. I wish I knew. It feels like a good zip and then you’re in and it’s quite soft. It’s not the nicest softness I’ve ever felt in my life, but it’s all right. It’s not too bad. They’ve tried at least to put some sort of luxury in there. And then this pocket over there. I quite like that zip. It would be nice if the whole thing was like that. Every zip. That would have been a point of difference. So that’s exactly the same on this side. Let’s just double check that though. See that there’s nothing. I’m not missing anything. No, that pocket’s the same. And then you’ve got this nice zip thing here. And that’s furry as well. Oh, I slightly missed out the umbrella thing. I’ll do it after this last pocket. Don’t let me forget. Forgot on one video and it was just it’s unforgivable. Right. So, oh no, I’ve done them. I was thinking that this this outside bit was a pocket. This bit where it says tightless, but it isn’t. That’s just part of the big pocket. And then this bit only goes down a little bit into there. Goes down to a bit there. No extra bits. So, yeah, it’s good. Let me check the umbrella thing though before I forget. So, it just goes in the top there. There’s not a holder at the top. And there is a wee ring at the bottom there for the thing to go in, but there’s nothing to hold it at the top. It’s fine. That’s actually quite good. Right. If I can stay awake to do the hood. We’ll do the hood. Right. Okay. The hood just feels exactly like you would expect. It’s just sort of single thin kind of plastic. Poppers at least. They haven’t gone Velcro. They haven’t got cheap on us and gone Velcro. Don’t like Velcro. Hoods. Never feels like they’re tight enough on. Hang on. Have I done this at the right way? So, does that go around the handles? Please tell me it goes around the handles. It does. Metal poppers as well. Old school. No plastic stuff like on the pings. I like the ping ones. So, that hood is pretty bog standard. It’s got one zip. Is it? No, it’s got two zips, but it doesn’t really help you because it’s that secures the bottom part. So, you’re only using one, but you could in theory come at it from both sides. So you could have that one down and then go in from this side if you wanted if the rain was coming that way. But it feels fine. It was easy enough. Pretty straightforward to go on. Didn’t um Sorry, I nearly fell asleep there. Um didn’t um require any instruction manuals to put on. So I did say put it on a trolley. So let’s have a put it on a trolley before I fall asleep. Put it on a power caddy trolley. Is this going on? All right. Yeah, absolutely fine. So, that goes around there and this goes through this bit. Does it though? Does it? Just as well did this. See, that’s a wee bit tight. That was a wee bit of a squeeze for a power caddy handle. It made it. It did make it. And then on there. But once it’s on, it’s fine. So, that’s on. That’s nice. That’s boring. It’s on it. It’s boring. It’s nothing interesting about that. I think it would go on virtually any trolley. Right. Okay. It’s a wee bit annoying coming out there. It’s get stuck a little bit. Could have made that a little bit bigger. So, it’s gone from boring to being me slightly angry that the thing didn’t come out that easily. Right. So, the verdict the verdict is the verdict is it’s boring. It’s good, but it’s boring. Okay. So, it does the job. It’s absolutely fine, but there are no dis surprise and delight features on it whatsoever. I would say apart from if you if you call that a surprise and delight feature that two of the zips are different from the other ones and they hook over the top and I don’t know why. Does it say on it? Why? No, it doesn’t say. So, yeah, it’s fine. It’s fine. But if you look at the ones like if I take the ones I haven’t sold, lads, if you want to come on. So you got the Ping Pioneer 209. Stupid giveaway price, but that’s what you can get it for online. Shouldn’t be that, but it is. That’s 249, which is a punchy price for a Wilson bag, but is actually good. I’ve done a video on that. And this silencer thing, which is sensational, is 269. So 239, 209,249, 269. And then this one, this Power Caddy one. It’s a bit of a shame if you live in America cuz I don’t think you can get that there. But this is really good bag. And I’m going to do a review on this when it’s old soon. £249. So it’s only £10 more. And all of those bags have a bit of personality. They have something about them that’s a little bit different. All right. And I didn’t remotely feel like I was going to fall asleep while I was reviewing them, whereas I did with the tight list. It was all I could do to stay awake. So there we go. Good but boring. And if you’ve got any questions, put them in the comments and I’ll get back to you. Thanks again for watching and I’ll see you in the next one.

  1. Don't tease us, if you're going to mention throwing it in the sea, at least follow through and get it floating away on the Firth of Forth.
