back to the channel guys in today’s view we’re going to be having a look at this sticks Players Club golf set I will always put my hands up when I’m wrong I’ve had a subscriber message is a friend of mine he’s just watched my recent video where I posted a video recommending the best starter sets of 2025 and he were quick to comment and he says G he says I know a lot about this subject because I’ve been looking to buy a set for a stag do that I’m going on this year and he’s bought this stick set at $699 and he’s allowing me to do a review on it so I’m going to review it and I’m going to give you my personal opinion on it because what I said were my words were if you’re buying a starter set this year don’t spend over 600 this is1 pound over the budget I suggested so we’re going to have a look at it and I’m going to give you an honest opinion and if I’m wrong I’m wrong I’ll put my hands up let’s get stuck in so I don’t know much about this brand I’ve not heard about it before but he’s done a lot of research I think he’s watched a couple of reviews online and he said that this were the best package he could find on a budget he were going to spend up to £900 he’s a newer golfer he has played before but he got really old set that his dad had given him so looks like we’ve got a little bit of a stand bag double strap quite a bit of padding in there as well I like that it’s just black I like Simplicity you know like I don’t like these brands that sort of go a bit too far with sort of colors and stuff everybody likes black sort of red I like them they’re comfortable nice little sort of tags side pocket you’d have something for your tease here bit of a ball pouch pretty sort of what you’d expect standbag nice and lightweight maybe mobile phone or it could be a GPS pocket but let’s have a look what you actually get for your money then is this a full set or not so 56 I tell you what what I like about that is he’s ordered this as a sort of a starter set but actually you don’t get many starter sets that have that’s more of a specialist sandwich isn’t it y it’s not your everyday sandwich that’s something that you could really open up and use so maybe it might be worth him spend that a little bit more cuz these might be more Progressive that you can use a bit more than just a starter package so we’re just starting to unwrap these irons and it’s quite apparent when you look at them closely if you got the width for the sole and the depth for the cavity they’re not sort of like your typical beginner set really they’re not like the full cavity isons a bit more Progressive a bit more midsize I think these are definitely a set from what I’m seen so far that you’d progress into and you know maybe a set that it’s kind of it is a starter set it’s got a full stter set of clubs but one that you develop into rather than just being a set for your first sort of 12m Monon in golf right so we’ve got everything unwrapped let’s have a little bit of a look at these woods and we have just been on website Dan sort of mentioned is it available in any different specs it’s available in left and right-handed um and it is just available in standard sort of regular Flex you’ve got graphite shafts in your Woods I like how it’s kind of like stealth looking you got obviously black GP Black Shaft and black head for a a sort of starter package set I think that looks really really nice you don’t really get that kind of detail in here on a lot of these looking starter packages and when you put that down there’s a little bit of offset on there I guess obviously for them slices of the ball it’s probably reassuring to have that I think as a newer golf when I first started offsets your friend into it yeah without a doubt Fairway Wood got like a 16 degree they call it a free wood it’s quite a sort of a big profile ahead again matching sort of driver same looks very I mean that’s massive is it for a free wood when you put that down obviously that’s going to be one of the harder clubs to it in the set but I think they’ve realized that and made it really oversized we’ve got hybrid nice looking Club is that they do sort of match up really nice don’t they it’s like a really Progressive set of woods it’s a 21 so that’s like probably a three iron LOF and then we’ve got in the irons six iron down to wedge and Sand Wedge I like the fact that theyve put a specialist sandwich in there so if you do want to open that face up you can make it you know more into a 60 you don’t get that in many sort of newer sets and then putter almost like a little bit of a mallet is it small Mallet a little bit of alignment Milling on the face as well and chrome do you know what I like about that there’s quite a lot of weight to that weighty really weighted and you know for people that struggle with Pace especially newer golfers I don’t think that’ll hurt you I think that’ll be your friend because it’ll help control the head I think when the put’s too light that’s when you start to sort of get too much speed in your stroke so far so good I must say after unboxing them I’m actually a little bit excited now I think if this were my first set I’d be absolutely buzzing I think they look great and I think most importantly the the way that these are a little bit different to the rest is that I think they’ve gone for a bit more of a progressive Starter Set yeah one that you’ll develop into and probably into package that you’d have to change after sort of 12 month you know as you get better I mean they’re much better start set used to get one hour absolutely we’ve just had a a look at Lofts haven’t we online yeah pitching wedg is 45 so they’re actually consistent to my irons so we’re going to go head to-head we’re going to put pitching wedge and against my pitching wedge 7 a against my 7 they will move into woods but I think if you look down at the iron first things first I like the classiness of they’ve not over logoed anything have they it’s simple simple Black Grape silver shaft not many logos or anything I like that line as well I think for sort of you know setting up and trying to get square behind the ball it’s a great reminder so you can see bit offset yeah a little bit of offset so let’s get some numbers should I should I eat this one first yeah go for it why not it’s in your hand they feel lovely 130 again yep consistent I weren’t expecting these to feel as good to be honest I we’re going to sh they feel from back here they sound soft I don’t know they’re just like you know when you’re buying a a full package set for sort of six 700 You’re Expecting like this should be this should feel as good you know what I mean I’m expecting to feel feel a bit not as good material or you know some it’s not as good and I’m not really picking up on anything at minute 129 that’s really top end you know sort of my wedge I’ve just want to hit a couple just for perspective for you guys at home I mean putting that w down now mine’s not got really much offset it looks obviously smaller in profile can I feel any difference yeah if I’m being honest with you slightly softer they are a forge Club 127 so similar in distance but I’ll tell you what that did at no point feel hard no I’m trying to listen Sam wise and just look at flight it’s only when you put it side by side I can tell this is a slightly softer it’s not like butter softer it’s just a tad softer similar launch isn’t it yeah I mean they look a bit higher 125 that one so maybe probably not quite as powerful full as the sticks but yeah probably a little higher in Flight yeah they definitely look a bit more towering other ones a stronger Flight 2 eight so very similar in distance and not a great deal of difference in feeli let’s move into sort of like should I go seven iron yeah what do you think to look at that one when you front top definitely kind of more of a midsize profile aren’t they yeah looks nice and what would you describe it confidences yeah it’s got a good fit Top Line but what I like is is that it it sounds silly in a way but it does look like a complete beginner’s Club it looks like I think this set is going to be perfect for the golfer that’s probably looking at buying a set you know maybe don’t play a lot of golf but don’t want a full beginner set they want some of they can progress into I mean I reckon we could go and play some good golf with these well put us under pressure right away why don’t you well it it compares to my eyes don’t it m that’s unbelievable I’ll be honest that sounded lovely that’s unbelievable I cannot believe that I’m basically hitting a set of golf clubs it’s not fully custom fited literally like yeah a set you can go and buy for 700 quid and I’m eting them just as good as my own clubs I don’t think I’ve hit the ball so well in weeks he did yeah he looks a nice FL he definitely looks a stronger flight than yours yeah which I don’t mind well well let’s put my in M then because you cuz I have had a lesson and that could be a reason why that you know I’m in it a bit lower than you’re used to seeing but they’re absolute bullets they’re absolute bullets 171 I mean that’s right on top end of what I did a seven out I’ve always said you know with beginner sets the great for like your first set for first two years I’m I’m eating my words with this I’m eating my words cuz I I think this is definitely a set that if you look after it you won’t have to replace after a couple of years cuz yeah it’s it’s going to you progress into it as you get better mine are definitely higher aren’t they yeah just launch a it more 165 so I mean that is top end for me in in these irons so they’re actually going further than my own irons aren’t they y but a little bit sort of more stronger ball flight yeah I think you can see there can’t probably not pick up on camera but that’s a much higher P that were right at the middle as well 164 I mean um which do you prefer because I don’t mind seeing it go in a bit stronger I think do you know what why we we saying just not way up here I think especially if you’re going to be playing in windy conditions yeah I love that stronger flight mate yeah as long as it’s got enough spin to old green and coming at a nice angle not the best strip but straight 62 man I actually I said just hit another one I want see that flight again cuz I remember being S I don’t know about you when you were a higher handicap go but I always struggled keeping the ball down I used to knock it like up there I couldn’t control ball flight honestly I’ll be honest I love that ball flight I’m going to I’m going to be honest if I had to go and play with these on my clubs at the minute I think I’d shoot a lower score with these I hope Sam’s not watching I know right let’s have a look in this wood Department this is going to be interesting part is it surely these can’t compare with got to fall down somewhere aren’t they yeah I mean my driver alone cost more than the bloody set are you firstly are you sure you want to do this test what just in case this works better it’s not really much of an advert for po our poor mate Sam is it who custom Fitters but look at that so what degrees is it does it say so this one’s 10.5 I could L mine up couldn’t I yeah I mean mine at 10 and a half yeah it’s just a now the only thing I’m a bit worried about with this is I’m somebody that draws the ball already and this has got some offset but I suppose for you expect this to go left yeah I might have to a a bit right and just play the offset that’s gone 250 straight as a die yeah it never really [Music] moved it were a little L long this weirdly enough cuz this is a regular shaft yeah I were a bit worried thinking it might feel a bit too whippy but it’s not bad not too bad it’s not too bad it’s like it’s like quite a firm regular shaft I felt like I got control like you try some star packages these really budget ones and you don’t feel like you can keep it on a park being someone like us you know it’s a bit firmer but this one I feel like I I can tell where Club is I can feel it I don’t know tast it easier or harder you can try both well I’ll tell you what I’ll go hard then man I it that as hard as I can I think you best 278 that’s amazing you call it amazing but I’m wondering H I haven’t the Shelf not right grip not right shaft not right flexes I hate my own driver that good for at them an all for strikes I’ve been going to get a better strike than them are you I’ve always said I think you’re more a regular kind of guy all right let’s let’s not start insulting me should I an easy one I try and replicate that one I suppose I don’t need tot easy do I if I can do that I mean that were a slight miss it and it’s gone a little bit of a pull but there’s no like hook on it or anything is there you’re still in play you have 15 yards left aren’t you they that well let me me me on you sure well no I’m not really sure SE cogs turnning I might genuinely stick in B he’s not going out stag do till me for your sake and Channel’s sake I need to see this good AR medal I’ll just keep avoiding his calls I’m busy yeah do do you know what it’d be nice if it does go out middle for my sake you know what it at least it has I know that a nice shot similar sort of distance though 269 there’ll be a few people watching as well and I always when I do these sort of like newer Starter Set package reviews they always said we’d like to see like a newer golf for test these sort of clubs well we’ve got Lee AR we our handicap golf for Lee the problem with Lee is he’s either really good black or he’s really bad and the amount of times we’ve tried to do videos together and he he don’t provide anything because he’s just so bad on day so if you’re watching Lee I would love to get you back on channel but you’re going to have to play a bit more golf he’s not played for about three four months cuz he’s great for these and stuff into when he can hit the ball ideal but you don’t learn anything when he’s just topping it and fatting it sh well at least I’m in my own driver well maybe you’re just swinging it good today so well I had that lesson in so 275 so you know both very similar on distance and confidence wise i’ probably say I’m more confident with that than I’m My Own right and do you know only reason probably been is I’ve got a lot of bad thoughts at this one at minut but I got that one out and like I building confidence I think everyone I hit I would getting more confident so what they put in a 21 degree I like that they’ve not gone too strong on Loft if you are going to put an IB in your bag you need to make sure you got some Loft on there to keep it versatile they’re classy aren them nice finish M I might just sell mine get a set of these 210 carrier as well we’re talking Carri here yeah the thing is with these are all more forgiving than what I’ve got yeah so it’s like making me feel like very like everything’s easy and confident with it little bit left yeah not bad though is it no far from I’m going to a straight on this one and try to fade one or lay a bit left and try to fade one see as as well yeah perfect little soft f is it so when I said don’t spend over 600 on a beginner set I was right the fact is though these are not just a beginner set these are far more than a beginner set I reckon these are sort of more a beginner to intermediate set so something that you could progress with you know I’m a pretty much scratch Golf and I genuinely think I could play scratch golf with these we’re going to go out and play with them aren’t we yeah why not so you know I’ll stand by my words don’t spend more than 600 if you’re buying just a starter set but if you want a set that’s going to help you progress into more intermediate and Beyond you know lasts a lot more than a St set spend 700 cuz they are absolutely amazing and uh you know we were never planning on going and playing with them but I think we’ve got to now y see what we can do we’ll test obviously putter we’ll test wedge and we’ll see what we can shoot we’ll have a bit of a match guys I hope you’ve enjoyed that video it’s a
