The Big 12 has selected The Covey at Big Easy Ranch in Columbus, Texas and Las Vegas (Nevada) Country Club as the host sites of the 2027 Big 12 Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships presented by Allstate, respectively. Las Vegas Country Club, in conjunction with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), hosts the women’s golf championship from April 21-23, while Big Easy Ranch welcomes the Conference’s men’s golf teams April 26-28.
“The Big 12 is pleased to partner with these world-class venues to host our golf championships,” Big 12 Chief Competition Officer Scott Draper said. “We are thankful for the partnership with Las Vegas Country Club, the LVCVA and Big Easy Ranch, who each will provide a championship test and an unmatched student-athlete experience.”
Las Vegas Country Club, located just off the city’s famous Strip, has previously hosted the Las Vegas Invitational on the PGA Tour, the LPGA’s Takefuji Classic and LIV Golf Las Vegas while consistently ranking among the top courses in Nevada. The Ed Ault-designed course opened in 1967 and was most-recently renovated in 2009 by Mark Rathert. This marks the Big 12’s first championship to take place in the state of Nevada.
The Covey at Big Easy Ranch opened in 2023 and is located approximately 70 miles from Houston in Columbus, Texas. The Chet Williams-designed course which tips out at over 7,500 yards is ranked as the top course in Texas by the Dallas Morning News and was named the Best New Private Course in the United States by Golf Digest in 2025.
The upcoming college golf season sees the Big 12 return to previously announced host sites. The women visit Dallas Athletic Club for the third time, April 23-25, while Prairie Dunes in Hutchinson, Kansas hosts the men’s event for the 15th time, April 27-29.
