The City of Laval, Que. plans to purchase the Saint-Rose golf course to redevelop it into a public park.

The QCNA reports that while a deal is expected to close before the end of 2026, the golf course will remain open through the end of the 2027 season.

The city views the golf course property as unspoiled green space it wishes to permanently preserve. Conservation of the golf course would help to restore nearby marshes and wetlands and create an ecological corridor.

Laval’s vision is to create a nature park that is accessible to everyone.
