Fleetwood loved the fans at East Lake where he clinched his first win on the PGA Tour after triumphing at the Tour Championship. Patrick Cadlay fell just short of another success at the Tour Championship where he narrowly lost out to Tommy Fleetwood. Englishman Fleetwood ended his four rounds on 18 under, securing a three-shot victory over American duo Russell Henley and Cadlay. Cory Connors, Scotty Sheffller, and Cameron Young meanwhile all finished in a tie for fourth on 14 under. World number one Sheffller won the tour championship in 2024 following in the footsteps of Victor Havland and Rory Mroy in 2023 and 2022 respectively this year’s runnerup. Katlay triumphed in 2021 finishing on 21 under to claim a one-shot win over John Rom. Fans slammed Katlay for his slow play at the Tour Championship with the American now sending a message to his followers after the conclusion of the event. He wrote on X. Not the finish we wanted today, but happy with how hard I fought to get back into contention. Thank you to all the fans who followed along this season. I can’t wait to get back out there.
