A star-studded lineup. The Procore Championship boasts an impressive field featuring 10 members of the American Rder Cup team led by the formidable Scotty Sheffller who’s making his tournament debut. These players are ready to showcase their skills. Sheffller’s impressive streak of 14 consecutive top eight finishes on tour, including five victories, sets the stage for an intense competition. A chance for redemption and exemption. The FedEx Cup fall provides a golden opportunity for players to boost their rankings and secure fully exempt playing privileges for 2026. With seven fall tournaments on the calendar, the top 100 in the FedEx Cup will earn this coveted status. Max Homa, currently ranked 111th in the FedEx Cup standings, returns to the tournament he’s won twice in 2021 and 2022. Can he make it a hat-tick? Patton Kizire, last year’s champion, is also back, aiming to become the first repeat winner since Homa. However, Kizire’s season has been challenging with 13 missed cuts in 21 starts. Will he be able to turn things around? Amateurs and rising stars. The tournament also marks the fall debuts for dozens of players, including some exciting amateurs and rising stars. Jackson Koven, a key member of the victorious American Walker Cup team, is making his PGA Tour return. The FedEx Cup fall is a crucial period for players ranked 51 to 70 in the FedEx Cup. While they’ve already clinched their top 100 eligibility for the following year, they’re now competing for spots in the first two signature events following the century. For those ranked 71 and beyond, it’s a chance to earn one of the 10 spots available in those signature events, but they must also aim to finish in the top 100 of the FedEx Cup standings at the end of the fall. At the conclusion of the FedEx Cup fall, players ranked 101 to 125 on the final FedEx Cup fall points list will have conditional status for the 2025 PGA Tour season. All other players outside the top 100 can still improve or regain their tour status through the PGA Tour Q School presented by Cornferry Corson and Records. The tournament will be played at the Silverado Resort’s North Course, a challenging par 72 layout stretching 7,138 yards. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and later reworked by Johnny Miller, the course has recently undergone some significant changes with 10 holes rerouted. For 2025, an additional 15 yards have been added to the scorecard. The 72-hole record at the Silverado is held by Stuart Sink and Sahit Figala, both carding a 267. The 18-hole record is an impressive 61, achieved by several players over the years. Patent Kizire Patton Kizire won his first PGA Tour event in 176 starts at the 2024 Procore Championship, claiming victory by a tournament record five shots. Kizire’s impressive scrambling skills in the final round where he missed 11 fairways showcased his resilience and talent.
