[Music] Yeah. And obviously like there is a uh a depth of course where you’re trying to take it off the balance versus out of the air. And usually kind of what I say to people is yes, try to reach what you can, but the kind of caveat to that is there are some that you’re going to be able to reach where your contact point is going to be fairly low. So the best way to usually think about it is that if the ball is going to bounce higher than your contact point would have been out of the air, then let it bounce. Other than that, take everything out of the air.

  1. One thing I noticed about pickleball. Started doing balance training and stability. And when you can hit those uncomfortable shots but feel well balanced. The slight power increase throws people off.

I love this sport. I hope the rules one day get fleshed out.

  2. even if the bounce ball has the similar height as taking out of the air, it is still better to let the ball bounce because the ball would be further away from net so a more offensive shot is available unless player goes for angle instead of power.

  3. If I notice or they telegraph they put spin on the ball, I take it from the air if feasible. I don’t have to worry about misjudging and having the ball bounce in too close or worse, just out of reach.

  4. Wow, you can tell how pro just by the outfit. Dude probably had enough pickle ball microplastics in his veins from playing for decades to create a chrysalis and emerge a week later fully trained in that outfit.

  5. I love this. I do this mostly anyways but to hear it from his perspective, it makes me realize that I do that
