If you often feel like your hips get stuck in the swing and you just can’t move through the ball the way you’d like, it usually comes down to the kinematic sequence – the order in which your body moves. That’s exactly what this video will help you with.
The right sequences in the golf swing are so important if you want to play more consistently. In this video, you’ll see five key sequences of the golf swing – and one of the most interesting is the weight shift during the backswing (see video point 1).
Most players first load their weight onto the right side and then shift it back. But here’s the key: that shift back to the lead side actually starts before the backswing has even finished (see video point 2). And that timing is crucial.
Because if the weight hasn’t already moved forward at the right moment, it becomes very difficult to rotate your hips freely.
If you’d like one of those drills—something that helps you feel the right movement without overthinking— just comment “Level Up”, and I’ll send you a link to my training community, where LPGA Tour player Sandra Gal and I share the exact exercises that make your swing more effortless. Best Sigmar
